I loved Blossom a lot too, and I’ve watched several of the director’s other short dramas, so I definitely…
My opinion about chemistry come from the scenes that focus on our couple (in example: the scene when they are getting closer, skinship scene, or the camera become their POV of each other).
I completely understand your explanation, & I also wish the chemistry getting stronger & stronger along our couple's story.(I dont mind slowburn romance, because I love it!) I trust Qingjie's directing LOL.
What make me excited about this drama is director Zeng Qing Jie. I trust him! I watched first 5eps, the drama's quality is so good. Beautiful! The budget definitely is higher than Blossom, that's why the production quality is better. But for chemistry aspect, in my opinion, this drama is weaker than Blossom, at least for first couple of eps. When I watched Blossom, within a minute on first encounter ML & FL scene, I can feel the strong chemistry among them. The tension instantly make me fall head over heal in love for the couple. But it's okay, the chemistry is one aspect. as long as the overall drama quality (script & realisation) are great, I will happily watch till end.
The scene when Pei Qian on Sima's place on last eps is really powerful: essentially & visually beautiful to depict class gap & how the rich see the world & (commoner) people.
I love how this drama support class solidarity, and humanity in 21st capitalism era.
I've watched first 3 eps on Huace Youtube (membership). The production quality is top notch. Finally after long time I can watch "real" historical drama ✨️
Check WeTV and IQiyi Indonesia region. They will air it in the premiere time.
I contact wetv via DM. They said, they accept my suggestion. So basically, for now it wont air on wetv. This condition reminds me to joy of life season 2. It didnt air in indonesia region (so I watched on wetv region US LOL).
Huace youtube will release this drama on 20.30. So I will watch it on YT.
I am so excited for this drama. But seems this drama wont air on streaming platform in Indonesia region. So now I wish I can watch it on Huace youtube.
