Well because of the censorship in part I think it is highly possible they have changed quite a bit. I am interested in reading the novel at some point, but only if there is a good translation as I can't really stand the google translated novels xD

Today's episodes were really good. It was nice that it was two today though because just ending on 25 would have left me feeling annoyed at YouQin even though I've seen the previews.

I like The Long Ballad but that cp has very little screen time together compared to this. Still a good show.

For me the hair always makes such a big difference xD But then again it was almost 2 years ago now that I watched tlb.

Up until episode 24 they have nothing but love for each other. I don't think that will changed either based on spoilers I've seen of bts.

Yes ^^ Sometimes the time skips are not very clear so it can be easy to miss what exactly is going on.

They did a time skip :) So Yetan and company searched for Lamu for one year before they found him.

I am assuming he is just trying to figure out how come his friend has changed so much. But I can be wrong ofc xD But I hope I am not haha. There are enough villains to create drama I think.

We all appreciate different kind of comedy so it might not be for you. There are quite a few actors dubbing themselves here. Shaodian YouQin, Yetan and Qingkui are all voiced by themselves. But if you feel like this is not your type of show that is fine too :)

I am also enjoying the pacing. TBH one of the reasons I tend to skip xianxias is because the leads seem to die quite often and then they are "reborn" etc so I am glad that they had a little different approach here.

Yes he is such a great character :D I really appreciate the writing team for writing him out to be so funny and yet such a steadfast guy and loyal.

IKR not only is he great bff to Chaofeng who calls out his shit, while still doing what he is ordered to do, funny guy and a great fighter :D Finally he gets to kill something as well xD I remembered in episode 5 when he was beating Chaofeng up for injuries he said he never got to kill anything lol.

Yes it is really refreshing to have so many good actors that really fit their roles so well! Everyone is great.

I am more concerned about the guard the emperor is sending to "study" with Shaodian.

Yes she is really fantastic as Qingkui! I am also hoping someone casts her in something soon so I can get to see more of her. I started watching Skate into love and since she is the FL best friend she gets to be in screen quite a lot even as a supporting character so that is nice. Completely different character though.
