It really was a long wait XD (me trying to be punny haha) I still wouldn't have changed it so they played other characters though. They suited the wolf and bunny couple very well.

Compared the the main couple who was mostly arguing and fighting before the mortal arc, the second lead spent most of the first half of the drama being happy together. So their angst started after they had already fallen in love.
Since the main cp took longer to actually come to this point their angst will come after some sweetness.
Let's hope for a happy end for them all.

Well to be fair a lot of dramas have the same trope happening, since there are a lot of them. To me what matters is the script and the acting.

One thing that was disappointing about our second leads wedding is that Haichao was not there :( Or Chaofengs mom. But other then that it was a very beautiful scene.
