To be fair this kind of humor is not suited for everyone :) The styling is also very "classic xianxia" when it comes to the clothes. I personally like them. The CGI is well done. When it comes to characters it is very rare that I actually like almost every side character, and here I have never felt the need to skip any side stories.
While the female lead is playing the sort of character that can often be called "annoying" because of her mischievousness and playful behavior, Landi Li is doing a great job of making Yetan lovable and empathic.
Something else that I am enjoying particularly is that even though a few characters have a crush on a main lead, except for one antagonistic one, they are not annoying about it or acting like jealous maniacs.

The official wedding was not held in the first episodes :) They just picked up their brides. The emperor I think said that they would not get married until Yetan had gotten used to the heavenly realm.

My belief is that they only share the pain. Not that their lives are tied together.
Because Yetan faint from the pain, so naturally Qingkui also faints from the pain. When they were carving their arms the only words that actually stayed on their arm was the one they wrote themselves. It's just my take though. But based on trailers for what's coming I find it's likely.
To be fair I would still love this drama without any kisses at all 🙈 But then I never really start a drama for the romance. And instead of arguing with each other, there is really nothing we as fans can do about this problem, we can just wait and see how things develop in the rest of the episodes. I support both couples, even though yes I have my own favorite, and hope that everyone in this comment section will continue to be able to discuss things happily. No hate please 🙃
