Wuxia is a martial arts drama, like The Condor Heroes and all those like that, Xianxia is about gods and reincarnation and their love lives and tragedy. This is just a costume historical drama placed in a fictional time :)

That is a very good take :) I just find for example a character like Yang Yang is quite dull, even though she is respectful. Treating others the way you want to be treated is indeed the way more people should act.

According to some cnetizens who read the novel it is scenes from the novel :) So the way they look is probably just an artstyle they thought look good.
