Could be it. Yeah it is disappointing if nothing happens to the worst father of the year. But since the drama has made Lanxi much nicer then in the book I guess it makes since.

I can see your point. I believe that since Langhua felt grief and anger at finding her father dead she wants someone to blame. As BFX was the last to speak with him it is easy for her to target BFX with her emotions. And we have seen quite often what people do when they feel strong emotions in all sorts of media. So though I do not believe Langhua actually wants to kill BFX I am not so surprised she stabbed her after Lanxi started to take her away.

Well I think that he has already taken over his own state by the time they need to go to her home. He probably left Qiwu or someone else in charge to keep things in order while he is off fighting in Qingzhou.

I am actually quite glad that we get to spend about a month watching this drama and not having all episodes at once. Once you have waited for a little more then a year I think it's nice to take some time to really enjoy it and not just binge everything at once. When I binge a series I tend to forget most that has happened not to long after. This way the enjoyment last longer.
