I think the writers focus more on Lanxi due to Yang Yang being the bigger star, and well politics cost less then war scenes I imagine.

Also a very random comment I thought about. You can easily tell if the budget is high when you get to market/crowd scenes depending on how many extras there are lol.

Yes I was also surprised xD But I guess the writers wanted an easy way to get YWY to start to mess with Lanxi as well to give him even more problems.

Well the usual plot line is that love makes you weak :D Since it gives you a weakness and something for the enemies to exploit. But yeah some of these servants read a little to much into their job description.

Well we will get a side couple later but as it stands now they meet quite late in the show so there won't be very much about them.

I think that other then the fact that he is in love with her, he also as you say find comfort when she is around. So it makes sense that he would try to get her to stay.

So in ep 19 YWY underling tells him they have been watching the Fenxi couple and has found out that Hei feng Xi is Lanxi. So I guess his people were sneakier then the fountain abode.

But anyway form today's episode miss Huan is annoyed that Lanxi is focusing on BFX instead of focusing on his ambitions to take over the throne. So she asks chancellor Ren to talk to Bai shifu and get him to tell BFX to leave Lanxi since she is a commoner.

Yeah same. It makes me sad when they away to much from a strong female character and do not let her really do anything after the first few episodes.

The jade moon formation does not exist in the novel and he is just a nice guy there :)

I don't mind the pace :) I just am impatient for more Lusi scenes where she can do more then just assist the ml.

In the novel the brother died a few years back and the father is ill so he dies after about 18 chapters in the novel.

BFX is not a queen but a princess as the story starts. In the novel her brother died years ago and her father dies early in the novel due to illness and since there are no more in her family she takes over as queen. The token is more like a sign of respect form that was made during the first emperors time iirc. I do not have a link about that one.

Well BFX is to be as beautiful as she is lethal but they have not really talked about a lot of other ladies in the drama to be honest.
