I think that other then the fact that he is in love with her, he also as you say find comfort when she is around. So it makes sense that he would try to get her to stay.

So in ep 19 YWY underling tells him they have been watching the Fenxi couple and has found out that Hei feng Xi is Lanxi. So I guess his people were sneakier then the fountain abode.

But anyway form today's episode miss Huan is annoyed that Lanxi is focusing on BFX instead of focusing on his ambitions to take over the throne. So she asks chancellor Ren to talk to Bai shifu and get him to tell BFX to leave Lanxi since she is a commoner.

Yeah same. It makes me sad when they away to much from a strong female character and do not let her really do anything after the first few episodes.

The jade moon formation does not exist in the novel and he is just a nice guy there :)

BFX is not a queen but a princess as the story starts. In the novel her brother died years ago and her father dies early in the novel due to illness and since there are no more in her family she takes over as queen. The token is more like a sign of respect form that was made during the first emperors time iirc. I do not have a link about that one.

Well BFX is to be as beautiful as she is lethal but they have not really talked about a lot of other ladies in the drama to be honest.

Huang Chao is the last. When it comes to beauties I guess Hua Chun Ran is no 1, Qiwu is also a beauty.

Might be it! It's just one of those things I get annoyed by in all kind of media really. The ponytail is nice though.

I just hope they are already together at that point, because I always get weirded out when they kiss someone they like who is sleeping and they aren't actually a couple.
