Like ML forced FL into marriage lots of viewers doing the same with the screenwriters. Try to understand the whole theme. its a women centric drama first of all.do u remember in the 1st ep when FL asked her mother "Why they r slave" she has a soft corner for them. and she is not saving every women here. just her friends and to the length that won't hamper her life. cz previous episodes were all about her survivor. she didn't help Du cuique,didn't help ML first wife ZXT, didn't helo xiuwan cz they were all wrong. Why won't she save Ji'er? she literally saved her from some kinda s*x racket. she gave her the words.. u r expecting a long drmaa which has 47 episode just to show only Romance?? oh god. atleast i didn't start it to watch some lovey dovey couple kissing and sleeping around. i need to watch some story.

I actually enjoying it too. Ming lan was my first love doesn't means i can't fall in love again. hahaha.

ATC is not Completely following the Novel. Its actually better than the novel. Novel ML is worse

They were colleagues. but the way they choose to break engagement doesn't seems like they were that close.But there is no way they don't know it is Shen house

SHEN was Against the idea deposing the prince i guess.that angered emperor who was reigning. Atleast LIN could have discussed with them rather than sending a letter of annulment out of nowhere

Just bcz they were the supporters of deposed emperor they r being killed by the reigning emperor. I find kinda same words falsely accused goes for it.

LIN families choice i understand but Their choice to save Their family its ok but it seems as betrayal. Cz exactly in the last moment they did it. They broke the engagement without even consulting with shen families elders just sending a letter.

XLX flashback really makes you understand her so much. Some people say the FL's character starts to become petty, some say why does she have to slap the ML in front of so many people, why does she act so rudely infront of elders.

- The family was falsely accused

- Her parents and siblings all had to die right before her very eyes

- Got her engagement annulled by the male lead's family

On the wedding day, she even received the Lin family's auspicious wedding Cake.

- From being a young lady of a great family, she had to become a slave and live a life of hardship

Till now this drama is one of the best c drama in 2026 for me. And i m glad that TSY is the FL here. Cz the subtle emotions that she is showing perfectly here is kinda cherry on top for me.

Even in slapping scene she said the same word her mother said during that engagement breaking letter time " LIN family has gone too far"

she said the same line to LJq " u've gone too far"

Completely agree.just because she doesn't hold grudge doesn't mean she doesn't remember. All of her previous effort just to avoid ur LIN family. and ur precious Son bring her back using manipulation and scheme. She definitely has the right to pissed.

Actually love at first sight theme is kinda boring for me.I love character development and need to blv why they actually fell in love.cz if u attracted after seeing beauty its Infatuation, LOVE needs Time.

They have that kind of chemistry which is more natural and realistic. The class difference and they r just master and servant. They both maintain it logically. But LJQ couldn't help but fell in love.aorund ep 12-13 ML noticed her and Couldn't move his eyes whenever he saw her and realize she js very clever.
