Yes u r so ri8 about Heyu. I was also getting so tired to MLs having resting face throughout a series. He really proved how great of an actor he is. It. He was born for this role. I saw some clips from one of his previous dramas n his comic timing is so good. This also proves how versatile he is.

Exactly my point. I have seen some viewers absolutely hate a drama when they show the fl expressing more. For me as long as there is a balance like SAL, I don't mind whoever pursues first. Some ppl say that women shouldn't make the first move coz that apparently makes them cheap🙂🙏 (I'm not saying that op implied this)

Its the editing unfortunately😫 I heard the original script which Esther initially signed was better. The change in production team was a big mess for SAL. They cut so many imp scenes in order to reduce the no. of eps. Therefore most of Jiang mu's story arc got sidelined. Plus there were( n still are) deliberate attempts to sabotage SAL.
Most of the times we see MLs pursing FLs while the fls r confused. But here both the leads had equal level of affection for eo. A lot of ppl like to be around the person they like so Jiang mu wasn't just lingering around Zhao, her character wanted to be around JZ n he adored her for that. Imo without Mumu, Zhao's character would've been incomplete. She is the one who made him believe that it's worth living for something n he even admitted that he kept on trying bcz he wanted to someone worthy of being Mu's partner.
The plot is really good imo. One of those very few dramas where I completely understand y the ML took some drastic decisions. Instead of creating super unrealistic scenarios btwn the leads, this drama walked us through their story n made us believe that their love is real. Jiang mu's assertive nature n Jin Zhao's calm yet fierce demeanor actually made their chem more sizzling.

I blame the editing for this. They sacrificed the wedding scenes for the mother-son bonding scenes which imo wasn't that necessary. If u see their wedding bts, you'll realise that its too beautiful to get cut off from the last ep. SAL's wedding scene would've been the most iconic wedding scenes 🤧 I feel like missing out the wedding even after getting the invitation 😭 NOT FAIR

Yes, they make things difficult for the cast n the ppl associated with the production of a drama. I read somewhere that its an unwritten rule to not show the leads dating in school. Kiss at a school is a big no. The reason y most of the times we don't see them dating at school despite having strong feeling towards eo. N even after they r full grown adults, they make them too shy, even a hug is too much for them. This is just not normal. The chemistry falls.off due to their extreme shyness.
Just like u I also hope that actors who don't like filming intimate scens onscreen should refrain from taking Romance projects n leave them for other actors who won't shy away from them.
I was so happy to finally see SAL didn't hesitate to show us how a normal couples behaves.
