So we are 11 eps into the drama and I'm not sure about one thing. What are the ages of SDM, HJP and NDS?
If I remember correctly, Ji Pyung was 19 (Korean age) when he wrote the letters, so that would make him 34 years old in the present. And they keep saying that the others are still in their twenties, so there must be at least a difference of 5 years between them, if not even more.
I think they mentioned how old Do San was when he won the math olympiad, but I forgot. Does anyone remember?
I keep thinking there will have to be one kdrama one day to break the golden rule about first leads.
There is one that comes to my mind: A Poem a Day. It's so underrated and I loved it so much. And I was so happy that she didn't end up with the first lead (whom I hated too haha).
I think I found another plot hole (although it's just a minor one). Why were there 10 teams on Demo Day when only six got accepted into Sandbox (and some even broke off right after they got in)?
We don't want any more help from HJP and he was anyways helping SST because of Dalmi. Cue the music indicating…
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll stay ungrateful brats till the very end lol. I'll copy my sarcastic prediction of the ending that I wrote somewhere below: I think the remaining episodes will all be about Dal Mi and Do San mending their relationship and starting a new business without making all those mistakes they did before (and also without Ji Pyung whom they'll just disregard since now they know everything they need to and won't need him anymore). And then they'll probably go to Ji Pyung and tell him, see, you were wrong all this time, you loser, we did succeed even though you told us we wouldn't. THE END.
Since this was written by the same writer who wrote While You Were Sleeping, I remember the 2nd lead syndrome…
I agree with you that the writer is really good at writing attractive second main leads but I also have to agree with masked-kitsune's comment. I watched all her previous dramas and although I loved the second leads in them as well, I still rooted for the first main leads, which is not the case with Start-Up. If the second lead is written so strong, than the first lead must be written just as strong if not stronger. But she really messed up with Nam Do San's character here.
So lol you guys aren't gonna tell dalmi about jipyeong's backstory??And dalmi won't ask him the full actual reason…
I don't get why she never asked how Ji Pyung and Grandma got to know each other. All she knows right now is that they knew each other and that Grandma asked Ji Pyung to write those letters. But she never tries to get to the bottom of the entire story. Just why? Let's suppose she doesn't care about Ji Pyung at all, but I'd still be curious about the exact circumstances if I were in her stead. And she doesn't even mention the story to Grandma, let alone ask her why she did it. Just wtf?

everyone gets someone, but JP needs to be ALONE, no family, no friends, nobody who trusts him: is this some 2d1n…
We don't even see him with Yong Shil anymore. Can I suppose that they snatched Yong Shil away from his home when they started to implement it into Noongil?
BUT LOL for real? How can they missed that it was an acquisition rather than the investment? They didn't have…

Exactly!!! At first i thought they were so cuteee!!!
I don't blame him either for what he's thinking. What I meant is that he chose the wrong time to confront Ji Pyung about it since they would have needed Ji Pyung during Demo Day and it was foreseeable that the issue would be a big blow to Ji Pyung. But since Yong San never cared about Ji Pyung as a mentor, he didn't take this into consideration. But again, I can understand where he's coming from. i just think we can't blame Ji Pyung for not showing up since it's a consequence of Yong San's actions. Ji Pyung has always been very professional and would definitely have been there for them if it weren't for this. Yong San unknowingly dug his (and his teammates) own grave so to say.
I’m not really seeing the point of the revenge storyline. I wonder if that’s what NDS and HJP are fighting…
No, that's not it. It looks like Ji Pyung is reproaching Do San (and Dal Mi) for just signing the contract without much thought. The revenge plot probably only serves to justify Yong San's behavior of stopping Ji Pyung from saving their company lol. And maybe also to give Ji Pyung some character growth although I personally don't really see the need for him to reflect on his past actions since he only told the truth. But I can understand that others might think he was too harsh and I guess the writer thinks so too.

All that he las left now is that tree, lol.
