I want to elaborate on my thoughts about Ji Pyung's upcoming personal growth arc.
I'm not trying to paint Ji Pyung as perfect, but I believe the writer should have chosen a different way to make him grow. It's obvious that the writer is on SST guys' side here and believes that Ji Pyung's words were too harsh and thus he needs to grow. Now here is why I think that this doesn't make sense at all and that his personal growth just feels forced.
We shouldn't forget that Sandbox is supposed to be a place to train newbies and prepare them for the real world that they'll eventually have to face. And as much as it might hurt, it's a fact that people in the business world can be extremely harsh and thus CEOs need to learn to deal with it. If everyone would always just be super nice to SST and the others, the purpose of Sandbox would be completely lost. And as soon as they'll leave Sandox and enter the real world, everything will crumble down and they'll bitterly fall to the ground. To put it into a nutshell, someone needs to prepare them for the harsh reality and Ji Pyung took on this role. If it hadn't be him, someone else would have done it. So I really don't get how he needs to grow in this area, he simply did his job.
Ji Pyung's biggest personal issue as I see it is that he doesn't easily open up to people and hides his true feelings, even to the point of lying to himself. We see that in the first half of the drama as he doesn't accept that he has feelings for Dal Mi. So, the writer should have made him learn to deal with his feelings in an honest way, that would have been the ideal character growth imo.
Yes!!! You have watched Catch the ghost haven't you? Remember that scene when he teaches the a**h*** a lesson…
Off topic but it just came to my mind that Rae Wan from You Drive Me Crazy might be Seon Ho's favorite character out of those he played so far because of Rae Wan's job. I don't remember where I read or saw it but Seon Ho mentioned before that he loves painting/drawing and would probably have chosen to do something arts-related if he didn't choose acting.

Catch the Ghost is definitely his best drama to date and criminally underrated (I'm not considering You Drive Me Crazy here since it's only a special and not a full-length drama).
@Lilli_ will you watch the live broadcast today too and post here?
Yes, I'm planning to watch the live broadcast again haha. Sure, if anyone wants to read spoilers, I'll post them here in the comments section after the episode just like yesterday!
not really, often times in such positions you will be faced with harsh criticism, and most times it will delivered…
I agree. Sandbox is supposed to be a place to prepare those start-ups for the real world. I see Demo Day like a simulation and the CEOs need to learn to face the real world where they'll get lots of even harsher comments. If Ji Pyung (or someone else there) didn't ask him questions like these, the purpose of Sandbox would be gone.
Apologies for another long post. I just have to rant my frustrations...It is known that Korea has a very patriarchal…
I love this post! The writer indeed seems stuck in archaic way of thinking, which is a shame since she herself is a woman. Actually, I've noticed that it's often not just the men but even many women who defend the patriarchic values, but why this is so is beyond me. I'd really like to know though. Anyway, the times have definitely changed everywhere in the world and also in Korea itself as we can see from all the support Ji Pyung is receiving internationally and domestically. Actually, the writer should have known better after the #metoo movement and the huge success of the novel/movie "Kim Ji Young, Born 1982". No matter her own stance, she should have seen where society is going.
Blaming someone for a suicide is totally a red flag for the writer. Such a disappointment. C'mon, it's already…
Very well said, I'm glad that you pointed that out. The writer really crossed the line here. They could have made the brother just despairing and giving up his business aka losing his direction in life or something like that, but suicide is too much. Or better not include that stupid revenge plot at all.
Fairytale ending? With that balloon engagement ring?Don't do that writers I beg you
Probably fairytale-like beauty as in the main couple could only get together since it's a fairytale lol. If it were more realistic, she'd never have chosen Do San over Ji Pyung.

The balloon engagement ring was definitely sent by fans. The banners in the background all mention Dodal ship and tvn and such. Thus I highly doubt that it's a scene from the drama.
With Kim Eun Sook's recent failure with The King Eternal and Park Hye Run's recent failure with Start Up.I think…
Maybe it's the pressure that comes with being a star writer. They might feel the need to live up to the expectations and create something extraordinary, something even better than everything they wrote before. And thus things go wrong because it ain't easy at all to create something special. They should rather concentrate on their strong points from their previous dramas and implement them in a new story instead of trying to create something entirely new.
I just started watched the drama, since the earlier episode I kinda feel disappointment with the drama. I feel…
Very well said. They never ever think about the advice they're being given and just take it as a personal attack and stubbornly continue on the same path. If Dal Mi wouldn't have become CEO and taken in at least some of the advice from Ji Pyung, nothing would have changed even if the SST guys would have miraculously managed to enter Sandbox.
And I also agree with you that Dal Mi's character is becoming weaker and weaker. And Do San really shouldn't have stolen their precious family moment. The conflicts between Dal Mi and In Jae are a necessesary step for them to hopefully become closer again and nobody should come in between there.
Rhetorical questions:- Who developed Yeongsil?- How did Samsan Tech get the rights to use it in their Noongil…
That's the big mystery that I've asked myself during the entire drama. I thought they'd maybe make Yong San's brother the original developer of Yong Shil, then everything would have made sense, but nope.
It's probably meant as a combo of do + san. "Do" is often used in the meaning of "path" in names and "san" in the meaning of "mountain". But yes, the word "dosan" in the meaning of "bankruptcy" does exist as well haha (but is written with different Chinese characters). So funny.
Oh my, classes on a Sunday? It's 5am here but I don't have anything tomorrow at least lol.
But I'll have the same problem tomorrow. Last week I ended up not sleeping at all since I have classes on Monday mornings lol. I'll have to force myself not to camp here again after the episode tomorrow haha.

But I abandoned Dal Mi lol.
