It's great that he's so down to earth, but I wish he'd have more confidence in himself, he's doing so exceptionally well and I want him to feel proud of it. The Ji Pyung fever wouldn't have become as big if Ji Pyung wasn't played by him.
At least if I compare his recent interview videos with older ones, he seems to have become a lot more comfortable in front of the camera. He used to be so super awkward in interviews before haha.
Yes! I've been saying let SDM fight her own battles for a while. NDS stepping in all the time is stunting her…
I agree. The drama isn't very realistic. But unrealistic and unbelievable are still two different things and I really hope the writer won't go the unbelievable route by making Dal Mi and Do San endgame. Even if Ji Pyung wouldn't exist at all, their relationship just isn't healthy. I just can't root for them and imo it's already too late for at least slightly believable character growth.

No, definitely not all of them. If we look back ten years ago or so, then I agree that most rom-coms used to be like fantasies. But especially in recent years, there have been lots of dramas that try to paint human relationships in a more realistic way. I'd even go as far as to say that realism is a new trend in Kdramas.
I think I've watched like 300 Kdramas or so, I just never bothered to list them all here in my profile, so my MDL list isn't accurate.
Lack of chemistry doesn't bother me as much as the toxic and unhealthy relationship they have. It's unbalanced…
Couldn't have said it better, that's exactly what I'm thinking too. As others already pointed out, I just can't shake off this feeling that Dal Mi is in fact replacable and any girl who's nice to him would have done it for Do San. I just don't see anything that could serve as proof that it's not infatuation and that he really likes her for who she is.
One could argue that he never took interest in women before Dal Mi, but he was actually forced to interact with Dal Mi because of the lie, so, once again, it's not because of Dal Mi as a person that he started to notice her.
Re Kimsamsoom's previous post about the way DM looks at DS, I just want to add my two cents:I’ll refrain myself…
Indeed, I agree with everything you said. The only thing that comes to my mind that Dal Mi has done for Do San is boosting his confidence through words. But words and actions are two different things and I don't remember any actions from her besides those you already mentioned and that were actually directed towards her penpal.
Somewhat off topic: I saw "Strongest Deliveryman" is coming to Netflix next week and "100 Days my Prince" in December....…
Definitely! The Ji Pyeong fever has spread everywhere haha. Kim Seon Ho is gonna get really busy, I bet he's drowning in interview offers and other stuff right now,
The drama is definitely going wrong, otherwise it wouldn't be this extreme.
Yes, that's what I meant, but not only the focus on the love triangle but the writing in general. It pushes many people to prefer the second lead which is why things have become so extreme here. As long as the theories make sense, I see nothing wrong with people trying to justify their point of view. The drama allows lots of different interpretations. But attacking others and saying their opinion is the only right one is definitely wrong. Anyway, I blame it on the writer that things have become like this here in this comment section.
That was wildly entertaining to read. It somehow makes sense since Dosan is such a man child. I wonder if Sigmund…
Exactly. And I want to add to that that Dal Mi too clearly doesn't like stalking. That scene when young Dal Mi mistook Ji Pyung for a stalker comes to me mind. If only she wasn't intoxicated and couldn't remember anything, I bet she'd be extremely angry at Do San for what he did. He can only hope that she'll never find out, lol.
Some people commented before that it seems like Dal Mi was more angry with Ji Pyung than with Do San after learning the truth and I want to elaborate on this. Normally, the more you love someone, the more you'd be disappointed in that person for breaking the trust. So, if the above is true, this could be an indication that the one she really loves is Ji Pyung, even though she herself hasn't realized this yet.
I agree. I find it interesting how she keeps noticing him while he initially tried to stay in the background.…
About Dal Mi not being that naive, I think the letter she wrote to Do San as an adult shows that very well. "I want to believe that you exist" tells me she already had her doubts that her penpal is real, but probably threw those doubts away when the fake Do San from the letters appeared later. It's not that she's naive but rather chooses to be naive since she's a dreamer.

Exactly. I also wonder if she actually noticed all the little things he did for her. I don't think I've seen anything in the drama that could confirm this, but I just think Dal Mi isn't that naive to not notice at all. Of course she can't know everything and someone else would need to tell her for her to know certain things, but there are still a few things she could have noticed.
Edit: I meant that I wonder if she already noticed even before the confession. Her asking him if he really eats those nut noddles every week could maybe support this theory. She might have been suspicious of it even before learning the truth.
Even if HJP wasn't written to be the supposed ML & weren't given romantic scenes with the FL. I find inside, he…
Indeed, I totally agree. Especially with 3., although I wouldn't say she feels drawn to him. But despite the fact that he's basically a stranger to her and she doesn't know much about him (and also had way less interactions with him compared to Do San), it's pretty evident to me that she likes him. Not romantically (yet (hopefully haha)), since she already developed feelings for Do San and thus never considered him, but she definitely likes him as a person.
It's great that he's so down to earth, but I wish he'd have more confidence in himself, he's doing so exceptionally well and I want him to feel proud of it. The Ji Pyung fever wouldn't have become as big if Ji Pyung wasn't played by him.

Edit: I like those two a lot more than the Samsan Tech brothers when it comes to comedy.
