Beautiful!!! Absolutely beautiful!!! Gorgeous cinematography and finally a young hero you really like from the first moment on when he makes his entrance!!! And the opening title - as if it comes straight from one of the amazing Monumental Movies of the 1950s and 1960s!!! Fantastic!!!
There are too many good Cdramas coming soon. Viki already got licenses for some and they won't license all. And…
The series will get shown on "Idol & Romance"s YotTube channel. There is good chance that they'll get it subbed too. They did so for "New Smiling Proud Wanderer" and I almost bet, they won't give up on "Ever Night".
Everyone said "Oh no, Peter Jackson will mess up the Lord of the Rings", before the trilogy entered theatres 15…
I'm not worked up about it, I was just wondering. It's a sixty episodes series with 45 minutes for each episode and a sequel already in the works (starting filming next month) - how can a two minutes trailer tell you that the depth of the novel won't be respected and reached???
oof I can already feel them about to mess this up big time but the leads look too good to drop this guess ill…
Everyone said "Oh no, Peter Jackson will mess up the Lord of the Rings", before the trilogy entered theatres 15 years ago. After "The Return of the King" completed the trilogy, everyone highly praised the movies as some of the best of the fantasy genre (sadly, "The Hobbit" couldn't reach the same standard). So, why is it that everyone whines, they'll mess up "Ever Night"? Not even a single episode got shown, so far, so, why not wait with the panicking until at least the first ten episodes are up?
There's only one thing that makes this series bearable: The side story of Bu Tian Yun and Guyan. Beautiful, sweet, gentle, lovely, shy and heartbreaking, this added depth to this elsewise shallow tale. Thank you, Xiao Han & Wang Hai Xiang,
"Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" were my first thoughts on it too. Especially the latest trailer with its flute-theme reminded me so much of the LOTR OST of Hobbiton.
Overcrowded with too many annoying female characters. Kick 2/3 of them out and you get a decent story. The way it is, it's more like barbie-girls fangirling over four handsome men instead of a tale about four skilled crime-solving marshalls. In fact, the antagonists are way more interesting, so far, than the actual main charaters...
I'm surprised that it's better than expected. And it's not the story of the happy-go-lucky lad that makes it interesting. What dragged me in, is the story about Wei Zhongxian and the way he held everything and everyone in his firm grip, and, of course, the story of the Donglin Faction and its leaders, personalities like Yang Lian. Ignoring the story of the actual hero of this story and focussing on the interesting parts, I literally got a prequel to one of my fave movies - "A Touch of Zen". Perfect!
There's just one big problem: Where can I watch the whole series? RAW! Subbed! Doesn't matter! I checked on YouTube, Dailymotion, Maplestage, but they all only have single episodes. I think, I found about half of the episodes, but not in line. Tencent has them all, I know that, but only for VIP access... So, does one of you know, if there's a chance to watch the series in a whole? Thanks in advance.
I've watched up to episode 40 and he hasn't appeared again.
Hehe, yes, I know. I added him to the cast. ;) Oh well, it was a nice surprise anyway to find him in this drama series. Enjoyed his performance a lot as always. He's just too adorable.
