First of all I didn't mean to spam . I wrote a comment and somehow due to internet problems it didn't get posted. It happened the 2nd time too so i just copied that message and posted 3 to 4 times at diff places just to ensure that it gets posted even at one place. Today morning I was surprised to see that it got posted at all the places.... I was just expressing my opinions, no hate to any of them... I like LXY, HYX and also the previous actress(don't know her name though). It's just that I had very high expectations for this drama but somehow for me it just all fell through after 4 years of longing...

Yeah everyone has personal preferences I also didn't like the previous actress in Love and Redemption(that's the only drama of her that I have watched and dropped it too). But somehow I was rooting for her in this drama . And as you said Esther is a good choice too I forgot about her.Last but not the least everything would have been good if the script was compact ....

I mentioned it that HYX is a very good actress and I love her but somehow I loved the other actress as Hong Ning more ever since I had seen the first trailers of love never fails . Moreover she was a seasoned one while HYX is still new and young. According to her age no doubt HYX did her best but sometimes the first impression matters... and also the script was too much questionable...And HYX playing HongNing was not a big problem for me I just didn't like LXY's character as I said in my above comments that he shines as morally gray ,gore characters.

Yeah I also noticed that they make her beautiful lips appear weird and too modern for a period drama. And what's wrong with her eye make up. They made her eyes reddish in "Blossom" just like Ju jing Yi. In every period dramas she has reddish or yellowish under eyes. That type of makeup looks horrible on anyone. She is a pretty lady , please they should do proper make up on her .

"In Blossom" had potential if only the first actress playing Yang Caiwei was the FL after that red eyed bling bling head person took over Yang Cai wei's character it all fell through , didn't like the FL in "A moment but Forever" but I liked her in "Princess Weiyoung" very much , "Kill me love me "started off good but that drama promised us a morally grey ML and good revenge but in the middle the ML became a puppy in love and everything became about sibling rivalry and court politics ,somewhere it also failed to meet the expectations of the public which might be because Wu Jinyan's "The Double" set the standards too high , that drama never swayed from it's main purpose i.e. revenge...; his drama with Peng Xiao Ran is not popular at all. He doesn't deserve this he is a very good and handsome actor. They should consider giving him good scripts with a robust, evil, anti hero type character and pair him with good FLs like Song Zu Er( Prisoner of Beauty), Zhang Jingyi, Zhao lusi, and maybe Dilreba ... I really hope his new drama " The Princess Gambit" will be a hit....

They could have casted someone else as the female lead. Her acting and looks both suck... IDK why they always pair the most ridiculous looking FLs with the most handsome looking MLs. Though at times acting overshadows the looks but here it's a disaster...
I just saw episode 1 it seems like a typical revenge drama but I might be wrong too. Let me see some more episodes. One more thing talking about red eye makeup I think this same makeup is done on Meng Ziyi too and that looks somehow horrible on her. She is a very good actress but I don't know why sometimes her lips become too distracting for me. But those little faults are overshadowed by her acting 70% of the times. still her eye makeup needs to be upgraded. In Blossom and Love in Pavillion that red eyed makeup looked really terrible. And Song Yi needs to lower the yellow faced deep red lips makeup...
Oh because she needs time to recover and a historical drama might be a burden for her now.... in the near future I hope they can work together in a historical drama. but one more thing she is tooo famous now and LXY is not that famous so they might not get to work together . Rising stars like Zhang Jingyi and Zhao Jinmai are better I guess.
