I only read last few chapters, so there may be a chunk in between I’m missing.. The end goes like this- he got captured, was tortured for 6 months, during that time he thought she was dead. Then he got rescued, but in the worst shape possible and severely traumatized. She was there when they got him out, and she brought him back to China. she basically devoted herself to take care of him, and they got married. The epilogue described the years after marriage, they have 2 kids, she wrote books and got famous, he struggles with his health and ptsd. At the end his body just couldn’t take it anymore, and I guess he lost the fight, so he killed himself. A few years later she was back at East country and was shot while trying to save someone. And it said maybe she wanted to reunite with him sooner. It made sense if you want a realistic novel, given the amount of physical and emotional trauma he suffered, he did the best he could to stay with her and kids for those years. And it was very clear that they loved each other deeply, no blames.
no- sad ending in the novel, but all the details in the novel helped the ending to make sense. Its so well written that it hurts even more to read, if you know what I mean.
for everyone who’s obsessed with this drama, go check out the English translation on Wattpad. it’s only 68 chapters + very long epilogue. BUT it is very good!!! I think it helps complete this drama, especially the thought process for the ending.
I mean are the haters of these drama BLINDD???they don't have chemistry????who tf idiot said that??how more of…
exactly! Chemistry is a feeling- of intense attraction, and awareness, and having someone on your mind day and night. It does not necessarily have to be physically acted out. What these 2 are so good at is communicating through their eyes.
absolutely love this!! ❤️❤️🤩🤩 Main couples acting is superb, chemistry so subtle but intense. I’m literally holding my breath when watching their beautiful eyes that speak without needing words. Happy or sad ending, I’m hanging onto every second!!! but yes, a happy ending would be perfection!
my plan to “get over” drama withdrawal: 1. listen to OST constantly- because I truly love it 2. watching Dashing Youth- I just need more Neo 3. planning to rewatch in a month 4. keep my thoughts on Neo- I just love him too much, I don’t actually want to move on, it’s my happy bubble
If we were to get a second season, we are most likely to be seeing how Yuanzhou will come back. Since Yuanzhou…
I also thought about this, WX is mortal but a goddess, what does this mean for her longevity??? obviously I want a happy ever after for them. maybe her life is prolonged somehow.
anyone think there are so many similarities to Untamed? I keep thinking ZYZ is like Wei Wu xian, all the dark energy, humor, self-sacrificing, misunderstood. And ZYC is LAn Wangji- pure, defender, soulmate, innocent humor, loyal.

“YuanZhou’s Youth” - absolutely breathtaking music, can’t believe Neo’s voice is so angelic and tormented
