Just saw previews up to 30. FL is not worthy. At this point I don’t want a happy ending. They should part ways with joint custody. Time and time again she allows anyone and anything to come between her and ML. She knows the damage she caused when she broke up with ml first time yet it doesn’t stop her from doing it again without thinking about him. He has to pay for everyone’s actions. She’s not worthy because it’s always her pride above all. I’ve never been so annoyed by a FL. She is so selfish beyond reason. Even if the drama were to end with them together you better bet she would leave him again over the stupidest reason if given the chance. I remember how hurt ZLY was in Sword and Brocade when she casted doubt on him. NYS on the other hand has patience of mother Theresa with FL in here. FL seriously needs some medical intervention. She’s so consumed by the past. Some of the decisions she’s making is not that of a healthy adult. She claimed the mistakes she made in the past was because of her immaturity and having no one to consult. She has not matured since they broke up 7 years ago. She held onto a grudge for many years but doesn’t bother to investigate it further before jumping to conclusions. The most pitiful is the Mr Nie who thought his only wrongdoing was breaking them up and was robbed of his time left with his grandson.

Agree with everything you said. He’s been so giving and so patient with her. Unconditional love at its best. After reading a character analysis on his mind frame, it was sad. He asked for her divorce not because he only wanted to be with her but to protect her from the abusive husband. There’s so many things he did for her that was for her best interest and not for his own.

I was reading on Weibo that perhaps it’s not only her acting that is throwing things off but perhaps the 2 cut episodes lead to this misconception. Some people have complained about dropping this drama because of the way the FL is acting. The drama is still dominating in terms of ratings but her character is really turning people off.

I don’t think she’s leaving him with much a choice but to join the child custody battle. If anything he is the most pitiful character in this drama. He’s got a dying father and has pretty much defied him for the FL. He has tried to communicate with her multiple times, it is she that is refusing to communicate and runs off each time while giving him mixed signals. And it is because of his maturity that he’s not forceful in his actions. When he approaches her and she pushes him away he respects her decision and backs off. My opinion on his character is only reinforced by what the author has confirmed so far. He is the most selfless character in this drama. Right now it’s not about her loving him or not, that’s irrelevant now. He just wants to be able to take care of her, but he won’t do so without her permission. He gives her the space she needs

Technically and realistically it’s his right to fight for custody. Good parents also fight for custody. It happens everyday in society. He had to fight for custody because like his dad said he would risk losing both of them if they didn’t legally hold her accountable. She’s a flight risk.

Her son just went through a big surgery and she just takes off with him without considering the consequences of his health. She goes to male lead every time she needs help then avoids him after she uses him. She’s been very unfair this whole time towards the father of her child.

It actually makes sense to me because of the medical background. It also won’t be dragged on for many episodes either

This book was written with Wallace Chung in mind over 10 years ago after he starred in Too late to say i love you, written by the same author. It’s just by chance he never had time in his schedule to do this drama.
