I understand but I think if is a person who do it constantly I understand to report it but ones start here without knowing and least be truthful not a lot read the rules. I used to do it but than they started to remind me. I think is too much to report someone when maybe they didn't know (because in reality we don't know if they know) Sometimes I still forget than I go back and read it and say oh boy it has a big a spoiler and edit it add the spoiler. Maybe I am too nice hahaha.

Why do they do this too me I don't like the two leads but just came here to see what new drama was out and I see Lee Joon who I love as an actor in the cast. I am I going to have to watch this because I love him.

The problem when you read the novel is you aren't going to like what everything they do with it after, like a movie or play. The way they explain or play the story cant be the same with the time that a drama has unless they have lots of episodes. Which directors and writers have to be so smart on how to write or direct each thing happening in the novel or it can get boring.
Rarely do I like a live action of a book I have read. We don't get to see inside the mind of the main lead girl or guy as we do in a novel. Yes theres expressions but depending how good of the actor and actress is we will get what we read in a book. Sorry but not a lot of actors can really portray that. In a Novel we are in it we are living it.
I think with the actors of SHR is not their fault but the director. I think IU is more how they are directing her into doing her acting she is trying to portray the innocent side of the lead girl. I think Lee Joon Ki is perfect for being the 4th prince I seen a lot of his movies and he is great for that type of character.
@rainruma knows how I have change my opinion of SHR after reading the novel. I don't even think the Chinese Version can compare but is more closer to the novel.
I respect everyone's opinion and their likes. I am just here to give my humble opinion.
To say the truth I am not as excited to watch SHR after reading the novel I feel like I am missing so much. I will give it a try on Monday to see how I am feeling after reading the novel and I haven't even read the whole novel.

@Rainruma tell me what you think after reading the novel. Are you having the chance to read the whole novel with eng subs or the only one I seen that has a few chapters? If you have the whole eng sub version can you share with me? I have read what I think is a bit less than half.

Remember Hae Soo learned how to write and read for one reason only because she couldn't read Wook's poems and wanted to write back. Not to survive or something smart or clever. She is learning to behave? hmm she does get introuble a lot because of that. The name and information about herbs and remedies she knew already. At the town she named most of them with Wook. And remember the remedy he used on the older brother for his rash was because her mother had it. The only thing I think she did learn that we saw was the teas and the lanterns/decorations. Oh and the glue hahaha.
And Yes she is impulsive.

I didn't read the whole novel I am getting there I didn't watch the Chinese version only watched the last three episodes. But Ruoxi as I read on the novel she was more impulsive. She went on rides with the 13th prince when her sister clearly told her many times that was not the way to act that they could take it the wrong way but her being from modern times she didn't want to be controlled. She said things that shouldn't be said, which the 8th prince chocked her for. She didn't have respect for the princes which show how impulsive she was. Even with the 4th prince son she told him why should I respect you Im older but I am going to be noble or something like that. Well you aren't one yet so when you are I will show my respect. If she was really submissive she would of done just what the kid told her to do. She gets in a fight fist fight with the 8th prince sister.
The only person I can think about that she was submissive with was the King.

That I know of the Chinese Version is closer to the Novel than SHR.

I love her and her acting. I even play with my hubby and tell him she is his girlfriend I like her that much I am willing to share hahaha Jk.
But sadly we can't make others like her. She is one of the richest Korean celebrities, she started young, she did commercial, albums, dramas, she is a Tv presenter, singer,actress, writer, composer. She is really talented. I hope she has a thick skin and ignores all those bad comments about her.

If you aren't watching the drama yes but a lot of people see clips and that scene is in it.

I did watch a few episodes of the Chinese version only the last three do, I read more chapters of the book I found it in Chinese but I am using bing translator so it was kind of whack so I needed a break.


Wow didn't know about the re editing. Why can fans go with the flow and stop being annoying about LJK and the romance. Can't they focus on the story? Sorry if I am coming rude but okay I get it when you have a bias or a favorite actor or singer but is too much. I saw so many comments on the site I watch the drama and is getting out of control with when are we getting So and Soo's scenes I really dislike her with 8th we getting to many scenes with the 8th prince and no So. I mean we weren't even half way. Imagine if they had stick to the novel hahaha they would of flown to Korean and start a war lol, because from what I read he didn't get so much lines or dialog until at least the last half of the novel.

If they stick to the original ending they will have to make a sequel like the Chinese version. But I really doubt they will end it with sad ending. Imagine if they marry her of to the 14th prince the viewers are going to throw their laptos or what ever device they use. Even do they weren't romantically involve she did die in his arms. You think the director would go for it? Pissing the fans or viewers off?

Exactly! I got attack in disqus for wanting a bit of romance in Vampire Detective. hahha but why why give so much chemistry to the actress and lead actor if they didn't need it for a drama with no romance. And the writers love playing with the subject to writing about others saying they make a good couple or asking if they are a couple. The point is hahah that I always need a bit of it. I was rant or get out of subject. But after chapters from the book I understand now how much more there is to the story. Not just the romance but that is how they are playing it in SHR. Sadly like you said they just want to give what the fans want. And the viewers who are fans of Lee Jun Ki who are like 80 percent if not more just don't see beyond that point.
I don't know if you seen Cheese in The trap I had a big problem with the lead he was a psycho with a bad attitude and of course the fans didn't see that. Even had a discussion or disagreement with my cousin who watch the drama when I recommend it. Because everyone gave the same reply is because you don't understand him. What do I need to understand? Every action has a consequence. I don't care what happened in your pass you have in your hands what action you take in the present either bad or good. Don't use that as an excuse. Where I am going is So may had a bad past but he can decide what to do in the present. Maybe that is why I don't like the 4th prince that much. Even do I saw in the last few episodes how insecure he is and he need some loving hahaha
I prefer the 8th prince because he was sweet and nice in the beginning, how he treated Soo. And what I also liked in the drama is that she didn't fall for the douche guy right away, she actually fell for the nice guy. For me is more realistic. Maybe because I wouldn't want my daughters to fall for a douchebag who threat them bad and they will be like lost puppies with no owner following him around even do he screams and kicks them away.<--- you see off the subject again hahaha.
In the subject of the throne I totally agree with you. Like you said in the book the 8th prince had more motives besides Jealousy. Which makes it more Likeable. And if they are willing to change the big plot one of the biggest events that happen on the novel they such give a happy ending to all of them than. If they are willing to do it just for fan service. That is one of my unlikeable things about the Korean industry they don't care what mess up thing they do if they keep the popularity of their employees being kpop celebrities or actors or any one of the entertainment industry. Like said probably they wont want to make LJK unlikable.

If I read sad ending on the comments is a 85 percent I will not watch it. I know some are worth it and I had watch pretty sad movies and I cry my eyes out but it leaves me analyzing so many thing about my life I don't sleep I am just thinking and thinking. I am just a wimpy girl with a heart made of glass.

I think they can change minor things but not one of the main event of the Novel and CV.

Im with you. I didn't even enjoy it, If you analyze it for what the situation really was not just because your melting for Lee Jun Ki it wasn't romantic. She was scared to death and he was sadden or hurt by her reaction.
When my bias does something bad in a drama I accept it and see it like it is doesn't mean I will stop liking him. but don't be all like his perfect when he is not.
And yes the make up scene was more intense for my taste.

We had some mix communication lol I just don't like when people misunderstand me as a person because of a comment I make specially if I didn't mean it like that. I know you didn't but I felt that you were putting words in my mouth and like you said maybe I mistook your words too.
Even before this conversation, chat, discussion that we are having I already said that SHR was too much for me. The first episodes were balanced I think because it was more of introduction of all the princes we got to know them a bit more. I am a Romance lover type of gal so Yes If a drama or movie doesn't have Romance Is more than possible I will not watch it. Even on the books I read. When I watch a drama I get to much into it (that is just the way I am can't control it) So it affects my mood. This drama at the beginning was winning my slot for number one drama, It was unique how she didn't fall for the lead guy right away and actually loved another guy. Rarely we see that. But now the darker side of the drama is coming and I fear and feel preoccupied that Wook is going to turn evil or villain, That some of the princes are going to die. So is not excitement what I am feeling when I watch it I suffer hahah. Is like I feel what the characters feel. And in cases like this drama is Emotionally draining. I also understand when people actually like other parts of dramas or movies when is an action movie and they love that and don't care about the Romance part but there are people like me who love that part and even if secondary. I think for me it just a perfect mix when it has it.
In the novel at least for me is like she flirts with 13th prince, the 10th prince even do it was more a flirting friendship thing (I actually like she told him she did like him at some point just to make him feel better about himself) In SHR she was like nope and sorry. The 10th prince in SHR is very childlike with no first love experience so of course that hurt him. So his expressions and hurt feelings hurt me I almost cried hahaha. Baekhyun physical appearance and attitude is very childlike so I feel protective of him. So that didn't help.
Let me explain something I fall for the second leads almost 90 percent of the time, Wook is the perfect example. He very protective of her, he is nice and down to earth. When someone is in trouble he helps even do there is been times when he holds back and watches for afar. I think he does it in fear of not being in the good side of the king. We are in episode 9 we still have time for her to have her time with So. Viewers are just being bias because they like Lee Jun Ki they don't see beyond that. This happens almost in all dramas with love triangles, The just like the lead and don't care beyond that. They don't see who is the one that treats the lead nice or is always there for her. They are like the lead girl they don't care if the lead guy is a douchebag.
I'm sorry I am getting out of subject.
And now for me the darkness and sadness is overshadowing the Romance. Sadly but true.

I haven't watched the Chinese version but I am reading the Novel and wow so different I have to say I love the novel more than SHR. I love her interaction with the 13th prince. Her short lived friendship with 10th prince. They made him marry the 8th prince sister too fast for my taste well it felt like that in the novel. In the Novel she has more interaction with the 10th, 13th and 14th prince at least until what I read that is Chapter 8. Her interaction with 8th prince is just a few conversations and it was in front of her sister. Like two alone. Like I said at least in what I have read. Her interaction with the 4th prince is none existent at least until what I have read. The 8th prince is a douche to her at least until the 8th chapter. He sent his guards to hit her and he strangle her.

I haven't watched the Chinese version and just started to read the novel. Even do is only until Chapter eight I am looking where to read the rest in English. After reading the novel I see that everything is so different. And Even after you explain everything in the previous comments it goes back to Love which is linked to romance. Wook turns "evil" because of jealousy not about So wanting to be king but because of Soo. I love her relationship with all the princes even do she shares more moments with the 4th and 8th prince at least on SHR. I understand all her movements and decisions affects History. And before reading the Novel how could I think differently when I had only watch SHR when even you and the other replier is saying is more based on the Love triangle than her relationships with the princes. Please go back and read my comments and read yours I never said I like or disliked I simply asked a question and answered the other persons question.
