I’m at episode 13 and I have actually dropped the show twice and tried to pick it back up due to being a huge…
I skipped my way through the rest but it didn’t improve. I’m amazed that they got away with so many steamy scenes in last three eps as there’s normally so much censoring. I gave it a generous 7.5 in the end.
Reached episode 13 but I’m finding this quite hard going. I really hate tension that relies on conflicts of misunderstanding that could be solved with one honest conversation. Obvs watching for both leads as they are always fun but I really wish the writing was better (hardly any dramatic tension) and all characters had more complexity. FL’s character is super naive for a journalist (professional people watchers!) and ML’s character is frustratingly shy - why doesn’t he just talk to her?! I guess they’re both meant to be in their 20s only but still. I’ll watch it on fast forward and hope it improves. Loads of better dramas elsewhere. Fake It Until You Make It was better writing and had a lot more to say about work and relationships imo. What a shame.
My kind of hero. A bad man who’ll bring you the heads of your enemies in a bag and then ask if there’s anything else you need. Fabulously hot (like proper adults in love) kisses here too. Cdrama writing has really come a long way this year! More please.
I’m finding this so much in otherwise very romantic dramas. So disappointing. We should be given a way to rate dramas for heat of kisses. Most of us watch romance for the tension but also these scenes (let’s be honest!)
First 15 episodes are so tense! I loved seeing the drama unfold and FL and ML were both interesting to watch. Falls over after that and becomes a completely different comedy drama that doesn’t make any sense. Kisses were awful throughout. Awkward and weird and not at all believable - not sure if it was because of the directing or acting but they were not right. So many of them are forced by one character onto another and yet I think that’s meant to be romantic according to the story (wtf?). It’s a shame because the writing of first episodes was an addictive revenge drama romance.
Quality drama! The writing, acting and kisses are all excellent. Please let this team and actors more dramas. I loved how mature and sensitive it was about relationships, power and honesty when it comes to falling in love. So, so good! All episodes are up on YouTube and available for free (with ads)
Blame it on the censorship! They forced the staff to deleted ALL the kiss scenes including the scenes during their…
That’s absurd but good to know they tried everything to get as much past the censors as possible but what a waste. Most western viewers won’t understand why kisses are so lame so thanks for explaining. Shame that access to deleted scenes isn’t available to everyone who tried to watch this drama 😩
Such quality performances by ML and FL for a mini drama! The romance was very well written, funny and moving. FL’s scenes with her dad were hilarious. Great kisses too.
Loved this drama overall for its honest approach to a couple falling in love (ML was so beautifully cast and written) but kiss scenes were awful. Robotic closed mouth kisses where lips are pushed together awkwardly for a second or two with no feeling behind it at all. I wish they could have been just as passionate as the rest of their chemistry would suggest. Why spend so much effort making us believe they’re falling in love if the kissing is totally unrealistic and half-hearted?! They are meant to be adults not school children. Maybe the actors wouldn’t agree to do anything more than closed-mouth but it was such a let down compared to the romantic quality of the rest of this drama.
AVOID this portrayal of a toxic relationship. He physically pushes her around (how many times can one adult woman fall over?!) and ignored everything she said about her needs. He’s handsome but that doesn’t make any of it right. He even ghosted her at one point and she forgave him 😱I never heard him apologise. This drama is sending all of the wrong messages to young men AND women about healthy love. The fact that it was directed by a woman for viewers in 2020 makes me very sad. I bet a man wrote it. If you want a college drama that’s fun but also positive, watch Unrequited Love (2019)
😩Why have so much tension and then never let us see them kiss like actual adults? Rubbish directing or writing or both! Made it to ep. 27 before I had to leave it sadly.
I’ll watch it on fast forward and hope it improves. Loads of better dramas elsewhere. Fake It Until You Make It was better writing and had a lot more to say about work and relationships imo. What a shame.
