Loving this! Very funny and fresh. Best part is FL and ML are evenly matched and the conflict of the big secret creates the best sort of tension. I wish we knew who wrote/directed it.
The problem with this arc is that Haoming's love feels completely manufactured instead of organic. His regret…
I see what you’re saying but I did like the moments after she left where he was sitting alone and thinking about her. I want much more for him to realise he loves her, not what she can give him, but I believe it’ll come. 32 eps means 16 is only halfway through so a lot more story to follow with luck! I can’t wait to see him properly bereft and grovelling to win her back.
This is so delicious. I love how much tension there is building with every new episode. I feel they like each other so much but neither of them really know what true love takes and so fallout and reconciliation is going to be the best. I wish more series knew how to write this kind of simmering tension so well. This series reminds me a lot of Married and Gone Girl but much more heartfelt and romantic.
This drama is immense. I love second chance romance stories but this one actually had mature, thought provoking conflicts that weren’t easily resolved. I love when they break up because of emotional immaturity but find their way back together as adults. I can’t wait to forget enough so I can rewatch.
I am in awe of her storytelling excellence. Beautifully crafted characters in original dilemmas. The industry should pay her to script doctor every other drama before filming. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I’m enjoying but the world-building is quite clunky. dialogue is also very expositional in places where they are telling each other things they (and we) already know. Quite tiring but I’m going to perseve. Feud was a million times better.
who directed this series? who wrote the screenplay? absolutely brilliant all round.
So many kisses! it was a wild ride of lies and laughs but I wish every drama would paint adult relationships with as much joy as this one does in almost every episode. Btavo!
Read ‘Pack Darling’ by Lola Rock if you need an introduction to omegaverse before this airs. I can’t believe China are first to make a drama on this topic. So spicy!
Are you sure? How about the Modern drama "Derailment" Li Haocun and Lin Yi have hot kissing Scene.
How can they call it ‘be passionately in love’ and have no on-screen kisses shown? Ugh. I loved Derailment but I was gutted that we never saw any kisses - it was all suggestion and clever use of camera angles. I hope they have an elegant way around it here. I was so looking forward to some steam after watching ‘city of romance’ that had superior kisses. Imagine if an actor made action film but refused to be in any fights? It makes no sense to be in romance dramas without kisses….?!
Too sickly sweet for me. I’ll watch anything with these two but I FF from ep. 14 onwards. So many episodes were cut that I think the story suffered overall. The ML was written so well as a confident but complicated young man but FL was like a cutesy teenager in places. It gave me the ick. I don’t understand why he would fall in love with her. She did nothing for him - it was always him running around after her. I’m much more into more equitable, complex, mature romances these days so I’m probably not the target audience. 7/10 for me.
