I loved it because it is the slowest of slow burns and it felt real how the leads fell in love. I’ve never seen a cdrama make it seem so earned between them. Mr AI didn’t bother me but it was unsettling. I’m glad this didn’t prevent them from releasing it. I agree that those side characters and that mother were something else. I skipped it all and watched for leads only. Adored 2fl and I think she’ll be leading a drama sometime soon. So talented.
I’m adoring this drama for an FL who is saving everyone else but actually she is the most damaged by trauma. Having an FL who is dangerous (unhinged in places) but also vulnerable means I love watching her unravel. I’m at ep17 and it is too soon for them to be all in with each other. I think he feels grateful and he’s confusing that with love. It will be everything when he realises how hard he will need to work to break her out of her PTSD over the past. For me, Feud was immense thanks to this same screenwriter and Bai Lu. I wish I’d started it after the end so I could binge it. Waiting is torture.
Not awful but it needed better writing for the FL as her motivation for avoiding her feelings for the ML and dating the 2ml wasn’t strong enough. If she’d had a good reason why her first love was worth exploring at the expense of the ML I would have been so much more invested in seeing her give in to her real emotion. This drama felt a bit dated for 2026 in a lot of ways but worth watching for the little one and ML’s dimples.
Superior historical drama but I wished for a lot more romance. More than a single kiss (awkward hat one) would have elevated this drama to others like My Dearest, Moon Embracing the Sun, Red Sleeve etc. I would watch 100 Days My Prince first as by same writer but much more romantic.
This is SO fun! Giving me major Pride and Prejudice vibes with the hopeless mother desperate to marry them all off and the dynamic between two leads. Wonderful to see all the other pairings evolving too.
So unique, weird and engrossing. Creepy at times and wildly romantic at others. I loved how it played with tone and genre. If David Lynch made a cdrama, it might go something like this one. All helped by outstanding performances. My only complaint was the kisses were a bit lackluster after such rich tension but they were still good.
