Sandra please don't be shy about sharing your drama experience. Myself I watched many dramas from the 60s black and white and I wasn't born yet during that period. Good is good. That is all that matters.

That being said I watched few dramas with Peter too but I didn't really get the story of Wind and Cloud though. But omg the curly hair seemed to be a trend during that period. I saw it in so many c dramas. My favorite drama with Peter was the Young Warriors. His character was really cute to me.

I actually saw plenty of mediocre productions with high ratings so I stop caring for it since. But yeah for once, since I like this drama so much I would have liked the score to be higher for the heck of it.

they already tone down so much Wei Shao lust for Man Man, production team just can't do that to the viewers ..... The discrepancy from the novel would be too large to accept 😵

Omg that was unforgettable. My jaw just dropped. I couldn't believe it. And the thing is the two do kissing scenes so I never understood why they done that. I didn't find it visually more appealing or even more compatible plotwise either....

Hahaha you're that starved eh? But I get you sweetie. I stumbled upon some (many) hot kissing scenes to my chagrin so now I want those scenes replicated in this drama too. Can we get a cherry on this sundae? Pretty please?

Oh yeah definitely a disservice to Wei Shao for him to be still hung up to the past. He made some progress this far. Grandma hopes for it and surely his wife too. Grandma's words were wise and profound. I liked that part very much but yeah I feel that he would soon come out from his shell. And be blessed with Man Man showering him with love. With the right triggers aka man falling for his wife here and there. He'd have to recognize his feelings. And let go of the past.

Though because of the remaining episodes and that we are about half way through, I feel like this is the calm period before the storm ....

I'm positive we will get kisses. Just what matters is the type of kiss we will get though.

Underneath the cover? Peck on the front head? Hidden behind birds or leaves? Zoom out so much that we can't even make head from tail? I just feel like Deng Ke would tease us that way to mess with us.

I actually look forward to seeing Wei Shao realizing that even his cousin felt for his wife despite the many warnings Wei Yan gave him.

Ohhh Naksu, I agree with all the points you brought. I totally get what you mean. I thought 2 episodes a day is good pacing. Not enough to tire you mentally but just sufficient to buildup the excitement for the next episode. But 1 episode get us a little too thirsty for the next release though. Wetting our appetite and not being able eat is difficult to stay still without fanarts or fanfictions.

I am rather picky with my dramas but I'll try to recommend you something based on your watchlist.

Do you need English subtitles?

Okay do you like Lareina? If you do I'd like to recommend you Legally Romance. It should be a safe bet based on dramas you completed and on your plan to watch list. That drama is far from perfect but we can tolerate the elements that doesn't sit too well with us. Overall a satisfactory production and good performance from Lareina. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it enough for multiple rewatches.

The other one is the Demon Hunter's Romance. I really fine production. Production wise, comparable to the Prisoner of Beauty . But I'd skip the last 3 episodes.

If you like LYN, then you can try The Long Ballad. Again not perfect but satisfactory enough for one viewing.

If you don't need English subtitles, I have plenty to recommend.

Surely we will get a satisfactory ending. If it turns out like TDHR's ending, I'll spend my annual vacation eating ice cream.

But yeah I'd like Wei Shao to be let go of the past as well. I'm okay with the current speed of his emotional development though.

By cousin do you mean Wei Yan? If so, I'm actually fine with him. I liked the character from the novel and he is a bit like the Wei Lord, not knowing/daring to express openly their attraction toward another person.

All in all Wei Yan is a sad character so I pity him that he has to resign to painting to express unopenlly his love.

Yup I saw those posts also about him being ugly, about Lareina not being pretty enough or actually not acting well enough. And also people criticizing the drama being this and that. I don't care though. People say what they want. Their issues.

For me, Wei Shao = LYN. Man Man is Lareina and this drama is a must watch.

Yuan Wang himself also appreciated Wei Liang. The man "saved" his life. I thought this plot twist was well done.

While watching episode 20, I thought about how much episodes remain and I felt sad.

This was a great journey. Starting from seeing the leads in the tv show and feeling the chemistry between the two, to rumours about them staring together, to getting confirmation and seeing teasers and else. The excitement buildup to getting disappointed with the novel and to then feeling crushed when the drama got shelved unexpectedly. To getting it released and seeing it reach this level of attention and popularity.

I don't care how others are viewing this drama, I just know that to me, it was an amazing journey. Whether they cheer for it or dislike it, I'm just so happy to witness this production.

Now ... Lareina does kissing and LYN also does ... If we're not getting a steamy kiss, ...
