Lu zhou's friend is so annoying and i'm struggling to understand why he is even friends with that dude. He has been after Wei Rao from the start, even though they were married. He knew she was an 'imposter', but never even thought to tell his 'friend'. Now he goes to visit Lu zhou just to pester him about going after Wei Rao, even though it is clear to everyone that Lu Zhou loves her.

I'm also not a fan of separation arcs, especially when I can't just speed through them! So all the side characters are annoying me right now lol! 🤣🤣🤣

But I understand why she felt she had to do this. Love this drama!

She just realized that she isn't even a thought in her 'adopted' mother's mind when she could be dying in a fire, got betrayed by someone she considered a friend and confidant then got rejected and almost discarded by her bio mom and her bio family and now is being judged as an unsuitable, incapable wife by the patriarch of her husbands family. I don't think this is noble idiocy. This is pure self-preservation after everything that has just happened. The girl is rightfully a mess right now....lol😅😅😅😅

And she doesn't exactly have romantic feelings for him at the moment, or she just doesn't know that she does maybe...

And honestly, if I was Wei Rao I would never have anything to do with the entire Wei family AND her mom! The male cousin can also go and kick rocks! He's so dumb!

Maternal Grandma can stay tho. She's the only that has consistently stood up for her.

Based on their conversation in the drama it is implied there was something going on with them romantically instead. But nothing is confirmed yet.

They argue about him not letting her see her child and he tells her its because WR resembles her father too much and he doesn't want her dwelling on her late husband. Wei Rao's mom (upset) then says that wei Rao could've been their daughter, implying that there was something between them, but he didn't marry her back then and so she married and had a child with someone else.

So it seems like Wei Rao's mom and the emperor were in love or had something going on, but the empress dowager chose someone from her own family to marry the emperor and become empress. Emperor does everything dowager says to do, so Wei Rao's mom gets married to Wei Rao's dad instead and gives birth to Wei Rao (and her twin maybe?? not confirmed). Wei Rao's dad dies leaving mom as a widow, so emperor snatches mom up as a concubine promising her that he will make sure Wei Rao is taken care of. Women from the inner palace aren't allowed to leave the palace and dowager hates Wei Rao's mom, so she doesn't get to see Wei Rao. At the end of the latest episodes it seems that someone found out that Achou is impersonating Wei Rao (or at least achou seems to think she got found out), so Achou got summoned to the palace again. We will find out more during the next episodes.

The more she tries and fails the more she is reminding me of a little mean Chihuahua lol. All bark, a little bite but just no significant damage at all...🤣🤣🤣

I'm really liking it so far. The plot is unhinged in a good way lol. This drama is also very pretty. So much detail to everyone's outfits and the sets too! And everyone looks so beautiful.

I'm ngl she was cracking me up with her unhinged self. I was ready to support her rights and her many many wrongs lmaooo, but ultimately I'm glad she's not the FL 😆😆

Give them jobs? they are a liability bc they know who she really is lol. She knew they would try and get rid of them asap

I think she is only concerned with living her life as it is currently and surviving, when they meet again. She just wants to live and take care of her parents at this point.

She did know. The way he was talking, it was obvious that he was dying. Not everything needs to be said out loud.

i agree. I think this drama in particular is better enjoyed by binge watching it or at least by watching multiple episodes in a batch. these latest released once a day episodes have had a lot of unnecessary cliffhangers also, only for the actual episode then to be very mild or focused on different things. Still a very good drama, but I understand why there is some dissatisfaction!

This was one secret that she was entirely set on taking to her grave. And I think she's allowed that, after what she went through. So far, only her parents know and she kind of hinted at it to that one teacher dude that was also wronged by the previous emperor, but she also never TOLD him.

ML has figured it out by himself and has now let her know that he has figured it out and that he still loves her and will continue to walk on this path with her. They have fully accepted each other now. That should be enough, in my opinion. Not every thing needs to be said so plainly between them anymore.

But I understand why that might be a bit jarring for some! :)

Ah Xingtang, my heart aches for her. She was just constantly failed by people that were supposed to care for her and love her. She was also very cruel to some of the people beneath her, but her death made me so sad. The first time this drama that I've really cried and it was over an antagonist 😅😅

She's a very good actress.
This show is very good!
