Honestly… turning Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint into a single movie just doesn’t sit right with me.
This story is way too big and detailed to be crammed into 1 hour and 50 minutes. There’s just no way they can do justice to the deep world-building, complex characters, or all the unique power systems in that short time.
This kind of story would’ve been much better as:
A K-drama (16 episodes per season),
A C-drama (28+ episodes — they usually have more budget anyway), or
Even an anime (24 episodes per season would’ve been perfect).
Movies are great for short novels or stories with around 50–60 chapters. But ORV has nearly 260 chapters in the manhwa and over 550 in the novel! Trying to squeeze that into a single movie just sounds like a recipe for cutting corners and losing all the important details.
I really hope this isn’t just a cash grab. If they actually care about the story, they should adapt it into multiple movies — like 7 or 8 movies — with at least 2.5 hours of runtime each, and no rushing or cutting out key parts.
Please don’t mess this up. ORV deserves better than a quick cash-in.
Time to rewatch so as to make the time until the s2 release pass faster. How can anyone forget this show existed?!
i watched this show when it was released in 2019 since then i have watched lot of c-dramas so i forgotten what happened in this show, i only remembered mc being smart, querky thats it... so i need to watch seasion 1 asap...
