I never read the source material. I'm on ep4 now and feel it's been an interesting and coherent plot line so far. I don't think you'll lose people who enjoy SciFi. I'm all in.

Maybe that's why you're disappointed as this isn't a Wuxia. Xianxia's , which is this serie's genre, are full of these romance plots. MLC was a great Wuxia and, hopefully, we'll get more great ones in the future.

Yes, it's a powerful scene. The only thing I would change in these series is when they often show the ML's to be so angry that they half strangle the woman. I wish they'd switch to the ML's grabbing the woman by each shoulder and digging their thumbs in to cause pain instead of the strangling scenes since strangling women to death happens so much in real life.

The backers of these dramas are out to make money and will go with whatever makes them the most dollars based on what people watch. Xianxia's are a bit derivative with repetitive themes but this one is pretty good so far IMO, especially with the top level cast.

This one is really fast paced. I'm really enjoying it thus far. It sure is starting off to potentially be as great as the two you mentioned.

This person made a global statement of all Bai Lu's productions as "Typical Bai Lu junk" from an account with zero friends and with a global diss to Bai Lu. it's water army level antics to turn people off to Bai Lu's series. It has nothing to do with "If you don't mindlessly love a drama, you get labeled as a hater."

Well, I wasn't disappointed, frustrated or struggling to express my feelings constructively to someone who labeled is as "Typical Bai Lu Junk." No need to get confrontational back, right?

All Xianxia's usually have similar themes / tropes and have for years now. What does that say about you that you knowingly watched so you could comment here? Are you one of those kids that, if you don't get good attention from Mom, you'll start being bratty to get any attention at all? Free to comment, this is a comment section after all. ...and there was no repercussions for their actions. They didn't even get chastised by the Lord.

A cruel twist of fate leads to a misunderstanding that ignites a heartbreaking conflict, even resulting in their demise. They are slowly telling us what happened prior in flashbacks so we have to wait to find out as other MDLer's say this is an original script and not from a novel.
