Let's see. They always have things like falling off mountain cliffs and living, which even FL did in this story, getting stabbed so bad you should be dead but living, getting poisoned with the most deadly poison but miraculously finding a cure. They have all these things and more happening in C-drama land all the time; thus, this little inconsistency is minor in comparison.

I used to wonder why some of my favorites didn't get lead roles. Then I realized there are 1.4+ billion people in China compared to abut 330 million in the U.S. It must be very difficult to get roles in China with all of the competition. A lot of the lead roles are going to the triple threats (Actors/Singer/Dancer.)

Unfortunately, a mediocre script. There was a lot of the leads looking at each other's face for long periods of time. The story was confusing in parts until it all comes together at the end. Overall, a decent watch but not something I'd sit through twice. I wish they would give Ding better scripts. Love You Seven Times was the same, a decent watch but slow to get through. Ding is such a talent deserving of top notch writing. His best series lately was White Cat Legend and even that had a slow start where some people dropped it too soon.

Deng Kai's character must get miraculously saved or portrayed in flashbacks.

I always look forward to seeing LSS's series. Her role in AJTL was the most satisfying for me due to her k/a skill and attitude in the series. I'm glad she's back after the break she took and hope to see her in many more series with the caliber of AJTL

I read it that way too, although she might fall for him due to how kind he is to her, as well as the fact that she'd never have children of her own if she doesn't.

I've seen it and she's great, love her acting. The way the sentence was written, I thought he confused the actress here from the one from AJTL. It's just the way I interpreted what he wrote. I get what he meant now and I agree.

Perfect acting for his character in Dashing Youth . Hope to see him in more costume dramas.

He was so good in Heroes. I was glad to see he's in this series. I don't know Zhao; however, the other 5 are top notch actors.

I know, the only positive is the comeuppance they'll get for their misdeeds. There sure is a lot of illness going around in this series too. Usually, one person has a sickness per series. Here, it's the grandmother, the Doctor, the FL....

Unfortunately, TLP fell short of the high expectations and hype leading up to it. FL is doing well here. She was very good in White Cat Legend. I also hope she doesn't lose her edge here.

Yes, it's derivative but the revenge and their comeuppance is sweet to watch.
