ML reminds me of Wang Yi Bo at times in this series, especially when he's dressed in the ancient costume.

I was bored out of my mind while first watching this series - I couldn't concentrate on what was going on and thought I'd need to drop it. After giving it one more episode to the start of no. 4, I gave up. However, I kept reading the positive comments here on MDL and decided to skip to the start of episode 7 to see if the story was coming together. All I can say is that I'm so glad I read the comments section here as episode 7 was fantastic, the storyline was fleshed out and had a great dose of story / action. I know of a few people like me who couldn't get past the first few episodes; thus, if you are reading the comments section, do what I did.

This was a great watch for me. Action packed with mature characters. The ML looks more like a military general type than any other actor I've seen in awhile. Everyone did the story justice.

Thanks. Makes sense. I couldn't remember his relationship to the royal family. There were so many series that came out that I'm slowly finishing them one by one, lol.

Who was the little boy emperor. Just curious why he was emperor and not her adult son. It took me awhile to finish that I forgot what his relationship was in the royal family.

Hopefully, someone was able to do some research and determine he was absent due to his schedule and not because they were excluding him. I'm really enjoying this one, the humor is spot on.

It probably should have been a 32 ep drama to cut out the slow pace in the middle; however, picked up again in the last 10 episodes. Good watch overall.

Yes, or he was busy but how did she know the ML looked hurt by not being in the shoot? I think there's some missing info here.

A film shooting was scheduled for these dances they did at the beginning and end of the episodes. Sh-a said she saw a spoiler and the ML wasn't in it of the team hugging each other, which was another film shooting that had to just occur on set or be scheduled. The ML is the biggest star with huge commitments and probably either had to leave set before that shoot was taken or couldn't be there due to his commitments; thus, "spoiler shoot." Also, maybe I'm reading this wrong what she is saying as I didn't see it and wonder how she knew the ML was hurt. I hope she doesn't stop watching though since he's obviously one of her favorite actors.

The ML is a big star with huge commitments. He probably wasn't available every time they wanted to do a spoiler shoot. Don't stop watching because of that reason or you'll miss out.

This series is a smorgasbord of beautiful people. Glad it also has a great story and acting skills to match.

Weird. Wonder why KA listed it as coming 2024 on their "Coming Soon" area. They are way off, lol.

It says 2024 on some sites. We're already into November - so soon if the info is correct.

I hope he goes back to doing more costume dramas (or Republican era like Fall In Love), which have played well for his career over the modern ones.
