When did you read the novel? Since I started after the drama I can picture the drama characters as the novel characters. Except Ye Li. While I feel Bai Lu is absolutely right for the drama I’m not sure for the novel. Except when she was Master Zhu(?). The character is much more feminine in the drama.

I started it just after the drama began so I’m reading it in any moments I have between other obligations and even have it open to read while certain dramas are airing that I find myself not glued to like Love Like Fireworks and the recently finished Ashes to Crown.
