OBVIOUSLY< shouldn't watch this is you've not seen ep 42.Chang Ge's birth story, subbedYou're gonna need tissues,…
i wonder if they're trying to paint LSM in a good light... but CG's dad leaves nothing to be desired. The dude raped his brother's girlfriend when his brother was at war!! Douche!
There are so many memorable scenes in the drama. My top 5 favourite scenes from this drama so far are: 1. ChangGe surrendering to Ashile Sun in front of the city gates 2. ASun fights to avenge his mum's death in a fit of rage 3. ASun fights Shi'er for ChangGe 4. LeYan is found by HaoDu 5. HaoDu fights Shi'er for LeYan
Chang Ge brings Le Yan to ask Sun to Shi'er in the match. And here's a rough translation of the dialogue: S: i refuse CG: why? S: boring LY: Chang Ge, it's OK. Forget about it. CG: you just have to help LeYan by defeating Shi'er and then lose to ShuYu and the job is done. S: the one who's last name is Wei (referring to ShuYu) can win me? (Makes a disgusting face) How is that possible? CG: so that's why you need to forfiet to him. S: why should i? CG: what do you mean why? You don't want to marry LeYan, so it's only natural that you lose the match. LY: Chang Ge, please don't fight because of my issues S: regardless, i will not lose to that little guy in front of you.
Chang Ge is left speechless and leaves in a huff. Haha... i love how petty he is, yet it's so endearing.
why did they let princess Yicheng commit suicide by fire when she's supposed to be killed by Li Jing in history.
Whoa! Really?? That would be so epic if they gave LiJing a bigger role. He's a fun character to watch... i wonder if there's a drama based on LiJing. He's a very successful general according Wikipedia. And i like how he is portrayed in this drama.
I'm interested to know, why did you all start watching TLB? and where did you first hear about it?For me, I first…
I saw the trailer on YouTube and was intrigued by the aesthetics. Didn't like investing time on a long series, but i gave this one a go because i thought Leo Wu is a fantastic actor. And i was hooked from the first episode. What drew me in was the ball match... that was a great scene!
I'm noticing something very heart warming as the series progresses. I notice that human life seems to be increasingly valued. At first CG was just blood thirsty about revenge for her family. Not fearing death, but just want to get back at who caused her to lose everything. But then she develops compassion for the general public who she sees as innocent collateral damage in the game of war that the elites are concerned over. She slowly understands sacrifice, and befriending the homeless and slaves and even going so far as to calling them family. And now in an exclusive relationship with a man from an "enemy" territory. I love that she is stripping away any prejudices to judge the person for their character rather than the banner of categories they come under. I love how she may have a cold, strong, tough exterior, but she is warm, compassionate and loving of the public like LeYan.
So much love for yours progression in character development.
That was a great episode, I can't wait to see how it plays out...
I think Changge is going to save LiShiMin and then will get caught by the Turkish soldiers... which leads us to episode 21 where is appears to the Khan tied up.
Douche!
