I'm not sure my heart or my tissue budget can take me crying an ocean on rewatching my favourite bl of all time! It hit me hard because I lost my best friend of many years to covid in 2020 . My favourite memory of her is the many times we sat on the beach drinking wine and talking about our future plans. So, the last scene with Micchan on the beach resonated with because I've done the same thing. I knew it wasn't going to be a Disney ending from the first scene but by then I was hooked. It's a beautiful portrayal of love; loss and moving on. I now mark my friend's birthdays by going to the same beach and toasting her life with a glass of wine. Eternal Yesterday will be a series that I'll remember for a long time. I look forward to rewatching the movie version.

I'm probably in a minority but I'm really enjoying this series! There are many plot holes and clichés but I'm willing to overlook them. Maybe, it's because I'm still grieving after watching Eternal Yesterday and History: Make your days count! I usually prefer light fluffy bls so this one works for me! Not every bl is going to have the complexities of My Beautiful Man or Eternal Yesterday and so I don't expect every series to be of that high calibre. I also steer clear from series with plots/storylines that might not sit well with my sensitivities. For example, Love Syndrome because it's plot synopsis read to me like one of ML had Stockholm syndrome. This way I can avoid coming across as being judgemental in the comments section on other people's preferences. This isn't a series that I'm likely to rewatch but I'm invested enough to watch until the last episode. The extra bonus for me is the soundtrack that's soothing in it's own way!

I'm probably in a minority judging by the comments because I really enjoyed this series. It helped that I was able to binge watch it instead of waiting for weekly episodes. The series absolutely had plotholes and lots of pointless angst as well as draging on at times. However, the actors were good, especially Sean Chang, who played Johnny. He had the Michael Jackson hairdo circa 1990s - during MJ's History era (pun intended! My heart was ripped apart after watching Eternal Yesterday so I was happy to watch this light & fluffy series. I haven't watched History 4; so cameo appearances of the actors from it was lost me! I'm also currenly watching Jack o Frost which is giving me Eternal Yesterday vibes. So, I was glad that HiStory did not have me reaching for the tissue box after every episode. BTW Eternal Yesterday is phenomenal if you haven't watched it! HiStory 5 for me was enjoyable and the soundtrack is amazing especially Andrew Tan's More than Friends track!

Such a simple series with only a few characters but oh so beautiful and poignant! No shame in admitting that I cried after watching the last episode! Japanese bls are in a category of their own. They manage to squeeze so much in 25 minute bite size episodes! I can't wait to see the movie!

I wish I had read the comments before watching ep 1! I liked the premise of the series and I would have watched ep 2 to see if it captured my interest. The sheer stupidity of promoting the series to international fans for months and then not allowing them to watch it is mind blowing decision! It's put me off the company and I will not be bothering with them again when there is so much choice! I just started watching Jack o Frost and I'm already engaged after watching the first two episodes. I'm also enjoyimg the second season of My Beautiful Man. It's shame for the actors who will miss out on the opportunity to get an international following. My view on this drama is: Next!

I watched ep 3 a second time with more attention and I have to agree with you. Hira is a tragic figure due to his low self esteem. He seems very much alone even when his beautiful man his by his side.

OMG Hira's fan boy act is grating on me! Kiyoi is craving for affection /confirmation from Hira and he even feels threatened everytime Koyama makes an appearance! Meanwhile, Hira acts weird with his whole "I'm not good enough for you" routine! The irony I disliked Kiyoni until the last episode of season one when it became clear he liked Hira all along! I wanted to knock some sense into Hira after seeing Kiyoni's reaction to being told he would never meet the parents! I can't believe 😪 the last episode airs next week! I love this series and I'll looking forward to when the movie version comes out. I want a Disney ending for Hira & Kiyoni!

Firstly, I was a fan of Pete & Vegas e.g. Build & Bible. I was upset last year when Build was exposed for making homophonic; racist & sexist comment. He apologised and said he had been ignorant. I definitely agreed he deserved a second chance. Build has not completely denied the allegations. In fact, on his social media Build wrote that he was giving back some of the expensive gifts and he also apologied for some his unacceptable behaviour. In short, there is a possibility that there is some truth in Poi's claims. However, she herself is toxic. It was unforgivable that BOC took no action against her for behaviour towards some of the cast of KP. She molested a minor when she forced Barcode to perform "special messages" on her. BOC did nothing because she co-owns the rights to KP and whiteout her a second series can't happen. However, as a woman, Build should be held accountable if he is found guilty by the courts. Until, then, i have an open mind. I'm new to BL and KP was the 2nd series I ever watched. I am so disappointed by the behind the scenes toxicity that I have no further interest in watching anything related to it anymore. It also speaks volumes about loyalty when not one member of the KP cast have comee out and defended Build. I assume BOC are to blame because like it or not they need Poi's consent if they want to move forward with the KP franchise. BOC only care about profits! The company is also probably angry with Build & Poi because Netflix in the westen countries will not pick up a serie with controversy surrounding it. KP is a great series but the toxicity surrounding it has made it less attractive for me for now.

@Lynn Zajicek 🤣😂🤣🤣You made fall over laughing because you reminded me of how ridiculous this series was at times! Don't get me started on the who Pie/Phet dynamic and their "love making" near broken glass! But Chun was a sweetheart!

@jjpny01. I totally agree with you. I watched the series only because of Rain & Phayu story! They saved the series for me but left me disappointed with the slap dash ending! The irony was that the series looked like a high budget bl but with noone on the production team pointing out the obviously flawed storyline. I watched it initially for Ohm & Fluke but by the end I forgot about them and I also ended up hating red apples!

You're absolutely right! I only watch them for the romance and bls are getting better and better all the time!

I haven't watched Dear Doctor yet but will definitely check out! I've not seen Fish Upon the Sky but it's on my watchlist. I totally agree about disliking bratty rich kids plotlines that have them getting a personality transplant near the end! There only a few bls that will stay with me for a long time after I have watched them and Eternal Yesterday is one of them.

Oh my sunshine night was the first bl where I learnt to use the fast forward repeatedly but not until i was 10 episodes in! Lols!

I love this series but I have to switch off my brain that wants to question why do billionaire thai families employ their butler & his son to guard their families? I recently finished watching Oh My Sunshine Night! which has a similar plotline; parents/parent get assassinated. Butler investigates the crime while his son is busy 'looking' after the bereaved son! Where are the thai police and why don't these families have private security in the first place! I've seen an army of bodyguards escort BTS members from their cars to check in desk at the airport! I'm new to bls so excuse my nit picking! I suffered 18 episodes of Oh My Sunshine Night because there was amazing chemistry between the 2nd couple who were in a similar dynamic like Palm & Neung! Ep 6 was amazing and I'm hoping all the remaining episodes are just as good! Also, someone pls warn me if there is going to be a sad ending because I'm still traumatised 4 weeks after watching the last episode of Eternal Yesterday. I have no regrets watching this series because it's a beautiful poignant coming of age love story. The actors have amazing chemistry. But my heart can't take anymore heartbreak and I have no more tissues left to wipe away the tears! As Justin Timberlake would say: "I cried a river".

Late developer or not; he's an amazing actor. Watch Eternal Yesterday if you haven't and you will see his potential. He along with Rio Komi made that series unforgettable for those who watched it. I hope he goes on to get bigger roles.
