There something special about chinese/Taiwanese bls with the word 'stay' in their title. They all exceeded my expectations and left me pining for their next episodes! I'll miss Stand by my Side; Stay with me and Stand by Me which also ended today. The episodes were short & sweet and the actors' made me fall in love with the characters. I absolutely loved Jiang Ci and Gu Bu Xia's dynamic because their relationship had angst but you knew that they would be o.k in the end. Jiang Ci hands down wins the prize of being the perfect and supportive bl boyfriend. It's even better because Gu Bu Xia is absolutely smitten with his man and fiercely returns his affection. I would have liked to have seen Gu Bu Xia,'s reaction to finding out that Jiang Ci had taken over listening to the pesky ghosts. I can imagine him junping up and down screaming; ridden with guilt and cursing out his sister for helping Jiang Ci organise the ritual. I guess I'll live in hope of season Two!
Wow, and thus wraps the end of this mini passion project I picked up the same day I got my wisdom teeth removed!…
@lian You did an amazing job and made it possible for me to watch this series! I couldn't function for days after having my wisdom tooth out so it's even a bigger achievement!
OMG Wieje redeemed himself just when it mattered! The gun battle in the church was just another reason why this series sucks you in despite it's simplicity! The cast, especially the actors who played the two main leads deserve so much credit for giving life to two amazingly likeable characters. The entire production teams did so well because for me there is nothing to dislike about this series. The only negative is that it has ended and I want season 2! I've also never been go glad to have covid and be in forced into isolation. It's allowed me to binge watch bls without interruptiond with all my meals delivered to me! I may have to fake a few more days of symptoms so I can discover more Chinese bls! Edit: Why is this series only rated 7.7? Surely, it's better than that judging the love it's getting in the comments' section!
Wei Jie better not accidentally give us a Romeo & Juilet ending by waking up and realising that Guan Yu didn't get the memo that he only drank enough poison to put him to sleep temporarily! I can imagine poor Guan Yu killing the baddie and then drinking the remainder of the poison because he can't live without that loveable idiot Wei Jie who unbeknown to him is not dead! I'll miss this series because it's so good that I was overjoyed when I noticed that ep 19 was 3 minutes longer than usual!
I love everything about this series including the soundtrack. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the boys History3: Make our Days count;pop up on screen! I wish that they had more screen time and Wayne Song is such a hot baddie! I'm also really hoping that there is a HEA because it took awhile to get over the trauma of watching History3: Make our days count.
Wei Jie hands down wins the award for the dumbest ever spy but he is too cute to hold it against him! Feng Guan either has the patience of a saint or loves his 'friend' so much that he is willing to give him the jacket of his back! The constant wait for episodes is killing me! I hope the release a movie version!
Just started watching yesterday and I'm upto ep 4! So far, I love everything about this series. I'v not read spoilers so I hope I'm not going to be in tears at the end.
My observations after watching 25 minutes; Frank needs a hairdresser who doesn't hate him and the entire production crew needs to fired because they let this trainwreck be released! I'm not sure why the episode appears to be dubbed and why the storyline is so slow to evolve. I like Frank & Lee but this going to another forgettable thai bl judging by the first episode. I have got used to watching high quality Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese & Chinese bls like Stay with Me, Eternal Yesterday, Stand by Me, My Beautiful Man Eternal that make most Thai bl fade into the background in comparison. I was desperately craving to watch the weekly episodes of these series whereas I'm not really that bothered about what happens next in Crazy Handsome Rich. I should add that Be my Favourite and Laws of Attraction are an exception when it comes to recent Thai bls because they both have an excellent cast & plotline. I'm also tired of watching Frank play the doe eyed damsel in distress who is waiting for his Prince to come along to rescue him! Finally, this series is labelled as a 'comedy' but the only thing funny is that it's getting laughs for the wrong reasons!
