This show is a surprise, the acting is on point. XKC looks good in everything, how is that so?
I love the brother, that boy is just too cute. When he gets caught in the restaurant while trying to help Jing Zhao he says "I know I am handsome, but I already have a girlfriend."
I think I understand why Chu Yue is bit hesitant because time travelling/different dimension meets a guy who wanted to kill her. Then joins hands to steer baddies but she maintained her quirky personality not knowing Jing Zhao was falling for her. I also think she is in disbelief like how can this guy like me coz I am like basic and goofy. This why she could not figure out why his behaviour changed. But she has developed some feelings for him , just has not fully realised it.
Jing Zhao is basically walk the talk kind of guy. He is like I like you and I am showing it to you.
I love that her dad and bro are on his side. But all in all a fun drama.
Just that I think Jing Zhao's character could have been a bit more awkward in the modern world but in the drama it's like he knows everything. Too much on the nose.
Okay this show is getting way too ridiculous. Are Japanese women really like this? Because this isn't the first…
Tell me about it. I mean no wife or a girl who likes a guy is going to give way to another woman. That ex is beyond delusional and did Yae actually ask Takumi if he wants to be with the ex. There is a reason she is an ex. Dude literally told Yae he has always loved her and she become Mother Theresa . Takumi deserves someone better!!
All I want to say is omg ufff what a leng chai. I can't decide if he looks handsome in the olden days costume or modern day clothes. Drama is funny FL has spunk, the grandmother is cool and her brother is sporting. But again what a leng chai <3 <3 <3
About the romance between ML & FL π:ππ€ππ€ππ€ππ€ππ€ππ€πThe FL is a hopeless…
I think there is some attraction from both sides just they are too engrossed in solving the murders and the constant happenings around them, they have not had a moment to sort of pause and have that 'moment'. The most important bond they share is ultimate trust, which is like a binding force between Detective Moon and Dr Bong. To be honest, they are not going to be like those conventional couples with all the mushy stuff, since they are both older, so it will be straight to the point, at least from Detective Moon's side. But the most anticipated confession will be between the Dean and Ok Hee, these two are just waiting to explode.
Small things to ponder:1. When Shin-yu was driving to meet Na Yeon ("if you don't come, I will die"), when Hong…
The good spell has brought out his true nature that has been hidden or blocked out by the black magic, this is what I feel. From other reference, black magic is used to suppress or hold back or block someone or something from happening, basically control . In this context, if you did not want a person to succeed or get married, it hinders you from doing so. The only way you can remove black magic is by performing good magic, hence why his behaviour and demenour have changed and he is seen more expressive. Just a thought.
I just wanted to say this that despite the lack or non-existence of romance between the leads, there are romance going on with the other characters. Maybe that is why they tagged romance in this show. LOL!
But but but but if anyone has doubts whether Detective Moon likes Dr Bong, well he definitely likes her but just don't know how to come to terms with it. Perhaps it is because he is like using her/ like cheating in solving the cases. It is not that he is incompetent but he wants to go back to Seoul ASAP, so he needs a trump card, and she is his best bet.
Sun Woo also likes Dr Bong because she is an honest and sort of naive person. This apparent when the influencer gave her number, and he knows girls like her are fake. There is also the shared pain of losing their mum, and having to grow up on their own, so they have a similar tragic background. But I am unsure if it is romantic but he is aware of her crush.
This is why Detective Moon does not want Dr Bong to touch SW and find out. Either he thinks if SW does like her, it would reciprocated by Dr Bong or he does not want her to be disappointed if she finds out otherwise. I mean he literally stops her every god damn time.
In terms of body language, it is clear as day Dr Bong and Detective Moon are too comfortable with each other. Dr Bong's BFF already could see from a mile away, which is why she kept threatening her Hahaha! Also everyone in Mujin can see it and talking about it. It is like that scene where the evil mother in law deciphering Ok Hi interaction with the teacher as they were arguing about the TV. I forgot the most telling sign of all is him handing his wallet to her when she wanted to buy that dress and he did it in front of other guys. This scene is done on purpose,
Whereas Dr Bong and SW, you can see that she changes the tone of her voice and immediately clips her hair behind the ears. These are signs that she is trying to put her best impression in front of SW.
Dr Bong literally complies with Detective Moon even though she is with SW, and she doesn't think he is the killer. So on a subconscious level she does like the detective which is why she kept saying we don't match. This means she has thought about it.
After some thought I think we have been too engrossed in the spells instead of looking at this whole thing from a layman's point of view. This is not just about separating the star-crossed lovers because when it comes to evil, there is only one root to it; money.
There is someone who is always there but we have not paid enough attention, and this person is the mayor, who is the main person orchestrating it all.
It has been established the mayor knows the Haum CEO prick (he got him to settle the money for the City Hall case against his Co), and daughter has been shagging him despite being in βloveβ with SY. Evil people stick together, hence all in it together.
Daughter has been pursuing SY for two years, and she did not even know his passcode or even been to his mancave. She wants to marry him, but why him, why not the prick CEO, if in terms of status and wealth as well as narcissism, they are MFEO. Suddenly she is working in City Hall and everyone knows she is engaged to SY. This is funny because there is no ring or even ceremony. The mayor called him son in law even before NY proposed to which he never gave a straight answer just going along because he was cornered? But why though?
The shrine has been demolished, and the shaman gave the approval only to HJ. HJ got transferred to the city hall and of all things handled the shrine issue. The guy who died at the shrine was a Jang, and his death seems like a sacrifice; blood for blood, there was a blade that severed his neck. There are no accidents. Now that HJ has the spells books for both good and dark magic, she is considered powerful, and she does not even realise it. This is why there is a stalker and curse, which is to scare and intimidate her. When HJ first visited the shrine, the deity asked what took her so long? She even fell but nothing happened to her. The shaman could only let go of the shrine after the arrival of HJ, knowing she would be able to handle the spells and curses.
Land which hosts the shrine belongs to SY, and we know there is a park there built illegally. Could it be that someone wants it? It was mentioned the Jangs own a lot of lands, really rich, and have a construction company. I think... again I could be wrong but the motive is land, which would translate into something valuable in terms of monetary and political gains. This would fit why the mayor wants the daughter to marry SY and the elaborate efforts with the curses, the death and the stalker. The hanging doll at the same spot where is shrine was located, and everything seems to be centrered around the area.
Everyone seems to be hating Mr Kwon, but HJ wished he was by her side and he came. He was also the one brought SY to City Hall. He is also logical as he points out the obvious to both HJ and SY. I don't think he is the bad guy, if anything I think he is a catalyst.
Even the kid in the park, if you noticed he keeps hinting at her about her feelings, the analogy of him liking a girl and then the blind spot, which is very telling that someone is hiding in the dark. Like there is a blind spot which has been cast so that certain people cannot see what is actually happening.
Maybe the in the Joseon era, the Jang who killed the shaman was mislead into thinking she was witch casting curses when in fact there was hidden hand in all of this. Pun intended.
NY alone in this whole scenario would not make sense, it would be a collaborative effort between she, her dad and maybe others including the Haum CEO. The black magic spell casting yes perhaps she could be doing it. The kid in the park did mention a blind spot, and his story about the girl he liked to HJ is an analogy, it got her thinking.
Or her dad the mayor wanting to control things. The Jangs are rich landowners, which is very beneficial to politicians. I mean the whole premise of colonisation has always been about land. It would make sense why someone would have killed a powerful shaman in the past and now HJ since she has reemerged with a power book filled with spells. The love spell probably cancelled the black magic and all the good spells have worked. The disaster nullifying spell with the word flower , that's her name right? Mr Kwon recited a poem also. Probably works like talisman for SY in anticipation of the curse. The fair skin probably took out the black shadow cast over her causing people to mistreat her.
I wanna hear your opinion on who is the killer and why, please put it on spoiler.
The victims of the serial killing except the assemblyman are causalities of war. I think, the idea behind the killings is the draw enough attention into what happened in the past with the land deals, and the former assemblyman who is now a minister. There were many victims, as we have been shown even the shaman's parents died apart from Dr Bong's mom and Sun Woo's mom as well. Why did the shaman wait all these years to suddenly want to kill assemblyman cha? and that too trying to pin on the supposed poncho serial killer? To catch a big fish like a minister requires cases to be reopened, for that you need a basis, and I believe this is the ploy behind it all. It is not only the land deals, there is something else going on in that small town , perhaps the fishing could be a front for drugs dealers. We were told the drug dealer that Detective Moon visited procured a lot of boat / ships and there is also talk of redevelopment, so I am guessing there is more it. Betrayal is the central theme from the past until the present. The quite town of Mujin is unravelling itself to the world. I am sure there is a person behind this pushing for these agendas to unfold.

oh well, just my two cents.
