I love her maid, she is such an awesome friend and sidekick. The death scene was heartbreaking to watch, even though they did not even spend much time but to die in vain was unjustified. Stepmom reeks in evil venomous greed. Wonder how come grandad has the portrait?
BTW is Seobangnim more formal than nampyeon? to call a husband?
The movie should also been a series. Good acting and visuals. I loved loved loved all the kimonos worn by the ladies in the series, they looked elegant but yes that Sakura embellished pink kimono was the best one.
Firstly whoever is incharge of her wardrobe, me likes everything, so elegant and stylish.
Secondly the series definitely has similar shots like in The Goblin eg walking in the mist, the beachside with water and drop pf water freezing in midair.
Thirdly everyone wants to kill her coz the company and the technology belongs to her dad, which was taken by Madam Ju, who probably knows who killed her parents. Everyone in the family is a suspect but the weird scratching grandson is a strong contender. This is coz he has burned skin scars, and that whole scene with the lighter and fire, a take away?
Lastly she has been given the Devil's power to protect her from all the 'demons' surrounding her. Since the show is biblical, I would say God works in mysterious ways. With humans consumed with seven deadly sins, likely only the Devil himself can guard her or save her?
The whole demon with contract reminds me of an old movie called Bedazzled with Elizabeth Hurly as the devil and Branden Fraser as the human who signs the deal. In that there is a clause that if the human performs a selfless deed, the contract is nullified coz it considered a sacrifice for a higher cause. The movie was hilarious.
Not really, because they don't have the concept of reincarnation. Neither do they give second chances once someone…
Nice to meet another Lucifer fan. anyway I am always fascinated by such concept but there are similar essence in most beliefs like grim reapers, angels, gate keepers etc. I had watched Tomorrow, and I like when film makers taken on social issue in this case suicide, which is a real problem plaguing society. Ever since the pandemic, suicide rates have gone higher but there is more awareness on mental health. The rate of suicide is also higher among men, so it is good to tackle the issue but it needs to be done properly. Looking forward to see this. Thanks for the response.
1. The last episode made is obvious that Strong Girl Mama is going international to hunt down Pavel.2. The cased…
Joining a security force is not something that happens as shown. It involves national security. To join the police even in Korea, you have to sit for a really tough written exam, then you train in the academy and then you go for specialisation. Even before you enter there is rigorous screening. Only when you qualify you become a cop. She had a Mongolian passport when she entered in the first episode, sure she can claim her citizenship but no security force will allow special promotion, just because she is a lost Korean child with superpowers and just coz what you said it, does not mean anything. unless you know how their Ministry of Interior and safety works. If anything she would be considered a security threat since they will not know where her loyalty lies.
They should not have made her into a cop, that too me was just an insult to the real cops in and outside the show because her character is not well-written.
Anyway no point using logic in this drama.
Him killing himself is not justice is it? The makers just did not know how to do it, they took the easy way.
International manhunt for ? The person who really uncovered most of the what was happening were the cops, first it was their team leader and then the ML. Just because she has superpowers, I suppose season 3 wld her taking down the Russian Mob... taking down organised crime should be a piece of cake, I guess.
So was the drug cartel backed by the Russian Mob dismantled? Did they get justice for the captain and Hwa Ja? How did Nam Soon get to be a cop? Isn't she Mongolian? Why am I asking these questions? This was bakwas.
Not really, because they don't have the concept of reincarnation. Neither do they give second chances once someone…
I am not referring to rebirth, I am pointing out the concept of being stuck in a miserable loop, in this case, the guy has to live all these lives and not die/die.
If you have watch Lucifer, in that too, those damned in hell are living in an endless miserable loop of their sins and worst moments.
It was an amazing series, a lot of political plots in the court but it had it swoonworthy moments. Towards the end I loved the welcoming of the Princess, it was a poignant scene,. Princess was brave and had a loyal friend who came for her, loved their friendship. JXN is a loyal friend and a good person, she really changed the course of her life and the lives of others. The only sad thing is Fangyin's death.
At the end two things remain in my head 1- XW protecting his Qin when they were attacked by bandits on their way to the capital, and JXN fending off the baddies while giving him criminal offensive bombastic side eye. 2-XW still jealous of ZZ after his own son favours his rival, thus becoming petty. His son is just like mommy swooning over ZZ. Daddy was not having it. LOL
It was great discussing the show with everyone. Till the next one <3
The princess is so pretty and looks so regal. I love that she still managed to slap XS. Now XS has become a full fledged villain with her motives and revenge. Horrible girl who still has not realised that whatever she is doing it will be a losing game, she will be consumed and eventually drown in her own misery. But why do I feel that the princess likes YL? She keeps mentioning him. I know they are all childhood friends but could it be if the war is declared, and the Yans come back, the princess can return and have her happy ending? But man women those days did not even stand a chance? What a sordid life to be pushed and pawned like a piece of ornament. The prince too, he just married some random girl just to please his mother. Speaking of mother, the Dowager is a horrible one, she still did not learn her lesson forcing her son to choose his love as concubine. She is just so spiteful!
Now, I think the reaction by daddy Jiang is appropriate and it is right of him to tell off XW because he is a teacher and JXN is still a maiden, whose reputation has already been tainted, so as a father he needs to protect her. But XW is bold now, dude is not giving up and the whole scene where Daddy J provoking him by asking ZZ if he is interested in marriage was funny. Even ZZ was not pleased to hear Daddy J talking about JXN is a bad manner, and he took notice of XW's interest in Ning'er. Ooooh ZZ is jealous, but XW is not waiting, he is seizing every moment he can. But JXN has still no realised that teacher likes her, she is just sad about losing her friends and now her sister becoming a concubine.
But sometimes I wonder where there are such series where the character wakes up and get a second chance in life, was what happened did really happen or is it a premonition or a dream? And how many of us will avoid making the same mistakes or can we actually change our fate or destiny?

The plot is a bit out there just hope the whole murder mystery doesn't overshadow the romance.

I think he has his own agenda, probably the stepmom has done something bad to someone he knows.
They should not have made her into a cop, that too me was just an insult to the real cops in and outside the show because her character is not well-written.
