I have started to watch The Untamed but RLZ and LJS are still in my head. Should i stop The Untamed until i get…
I usually give myself 1-2 months break after watching a series that left a deep impression before watching the new one.
The Untamed is worth the high rating because it is definitely really good, but it needs a whole focus to really enjoy and understand everything from beginning to the end. It took me 2x rewatch until I could grasp everything clearly.
It is a whole of heartbreaking, heart-touching, full of sweetness and angsty and funny moments that really can make you feel like riding a roller coaster.
This is the best danmei adaptation [The Spirealm is second] for me.
so, i have a question. is this show really gory/scary? i cannot watch horror movies/shows, so i'm a bit sceptical…
Hi there...
The horror parts are still acceptable for me who can't take horror things either, although there is 1 specific scene that I keep closing my eyes and covering my ears whenever I rewatch it.
Nevertheless, this series is really worth to watch.
This series is much milder for the horror and gore parts compared to the book. [The book is so scary for me]
Their last conversation, on the stairs, at the last episode.
LJS : Long time no see RLZ : It's not that long
50 years in the real world, if I'm not miscalculated is around 3-4 years in the game world.
That is why Ruan Lanzhu said that it was not long.
=====================
When Ling Jiushi got back to the real world, he got to meet the other players but they didn't recognise him because they had lost their memories of their life in the game world.
Ruan Lanzhu obviously didn't exist in the real world. He was NPC that was created to purify the game, restore it back to the original version.
In the real world, Ling Jiushi didn't have friends. His parents left him behind, his friends mocked and bullied him, his childhood best friend made him a laughing stock after the earthquake incident. His only friend was Wu Qi who was also busy with his girlfriend.
Seeing his life on the real world, where he was obviously alone while his Obsidian family and Ruan Lanzhu only exist the Spirealm, what choice did Ling Jiushi have?
Ling Jiushi, just like other normal people, wanted to be with the family that loved him, wanted to be with his one and only Ruan Lanzhu.
Spending his 50 years to recreate the Spirealm, to get his family and soulmate back was worth it if in the end of the day he could live a happy life with them.
Ling Jiushi said himself when he was in college, he wanted to have a happy family [parents] even if they only exist in the spiritual realm.
The ending never devoid from the plot from the beginning.
Putting aside the whole censorship thingy, this is the best ending for this series.
Making Ruan Lanzhu exist in the real world would be strange because Ruan Lanzhu is the NPC inside the Spirealm.
Making the other players retain their memories about the game or Ling Jiushi could return to the game world easily after the purification means the purification effort failed.
=====================
This series was taken down and got domestic banned because it is danmei adaptation.
Iqiyi and the production team had done many ways to produce this series.
1. They changed it into game world with the unlimited flow genre, and tried their best to make it different from the danmei [novel]
2. They made it short length for each episode [20 minutes]
3. They changed the main characters name and used actors and actresses that not very famous.
It first got their license because the NRTA didn't realise it's danmei adaptation, but then some people reported it.
That is why it got taken down only after being broadcast for few hours.
Luckily, it got to be broadcast internationally through Viu and Viki while the other danmei adaptation series could be said not that lucky.
I really need another drama with similar theme please if someone know tell me
- The Untamed - Word of Honor - Killer and Healer - Till Death Tear Us Apart - Live Surgery Room - Stay With Me - SCi Mystery - Mo Dao Zu Shi [The Animation] - The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty - League of Nobleman - The Silent Criminal - Guardian - Winter Begonia - Under The Skin - Jiang Hu Shao Nian Jue [Decline] - Advance Bravely - Stand By Me
Those are CDramas that have bromance tag. [That I have watched]
The genres are Xianxia, Wuxia, Mystery, Republican, Historical, Medical.
I can't remember other CDrama Bromance with Unlimited Flow genre like The Spirealm
He has said something about it here a month ago. Here is the link :

Since it's about a game world and program whatsoever then it should be understood as a technical computer program thingy to make it easier.
As you are sad about Immortality and JITD, I am really hopeless about Winner is King. 😬
Let's respect each other's point of view.
On the first episode, he got the game first before the car accident and was still awake
And when he returned, he was still awake after the car accident.
As Gao Dawei, he was Lingling's childhood friend until university.
Although his face was never revealed, but his presence was there through the whole story.
And after going abroad, it is also never mentioned the major that he took there.
Logical question :
Can't economy student create a game?
