how many adaptations of the tale of the white snake are there gonna be? 10?
241. Kidding.
With popular tales, there’s always gonna be countless adaptations. I guess everyone wants to try their hands at making the best one. It’s the same everywhere. I mean, have you seen Spider-Man? lol.
talking about product placement what you say is true but this time the Subway was more subtle. LOL
I would have to agree. It’s so bad sometimes, it robotic. The subway and the drinks, especially the computer guy and his constant drinking and eating habits, were good.
Let’s hope they give a simple explanation like: “J One released tester lenses to game developers some *odd* years ago so games can be developed” or something.
She didn’t form an alliance with Yoo Jin Woo. Those who form an alliance with Jin Woo get hurt, like Seo Jung…
No. Master and Marco both felt pain. All the testers felt pain. Every freakin person who played the game felt pain! The whole point of the game is to feel real pain and use real physical endurance, so your explanation and the drama has yet to make sense of PSH’s character being invulnerable to pain.
Forming the alliance with HB (Jinwoo), would only allow her to see the dead Mr. Cha and would only make her vulnerable to being constantly and randomly attacked and possibly killed by him even when she isn’t logged into the game. The only time an alliance with someone is bad is if the person she is forming an alliance with has killed an actual human player. Then everything goes wack in the game and I guess NPCs can now kill you, too, instead of hurting you. If the drama simply uses “Emma, the peacekeeper” as the reason the game went crazy, I guess...sorta lazy writing...
So many plot holes. Hopefully the last two episodes answer all of them!
Mr. He (doctor guy) is trying so hard for Ming Lan. He’s such a good guy and a great catch, but I would have…
Spoiler!!
So I think I found the answer to my own question. ... ... I guess Gu Tingye ended up getting truly married. No concubine this time. Lesson learnt? lol. His wife later dies...he has no kids with her...and then he marries Ming Lan? Damn. This guy has a rough life.
Mr. He (doctor guy) is trying so hard for Ming Lan. He’s such a good guy and a great catch, but I would have to agree with Ming Lan that he deserves better. Someone who loved him truly and will devote wholeheartedly to him. She knows she will not be this person and is not leading him on. Ming Lan is awesome.
Can’t wait for more interactions with the spunky and flirtatious Gu. I don’t mind his character flaws (and even liked them) but I did read somewhere that he marries yet again?? Maybe that was a typo? I hope so. Otherwise, I’m gonna be truly disappointed if our main gal doesn’t become his first and only. (If emperors and kings have managed to love only one, a simple marquis can manage it, too!)
Woah, woah, woah! What do you have against divorcees? And HB’s character “technically” committed either justifiable homocide, second degree manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter. He didn’t outright kill Mr. Cha with intent, premeditation, or thought. So basically, HB’s not a murderer.
Anyway, I understand your anger and hostility, and you did point out some important things, but I disagree that people should just completely stop living their lives if someone they love goes missing. Everyone has their own lives. Happiness is a personal interest. It’s psychologically healthy to pursue your own happiness, but to live your life completely for someone else is not healthy at all. That means you’re reliant on others for happiness and can’t be self-reliant. That’s basically having no hope in life and depending only on others for happiness.
Oh and please refrain from using such vulgar language...I understand you’re frustrated but you should just give…
Your point about PSH being HB’s beacon of hope is well put. Without it, he’d have gone insane and would truly have tried to commit suicide for real already. I like PSH, but I guess similar to you, I’m not at all invested in the character she plays.
What special item or cheap trick does PSH’s gaming character have that she immediately logs out once hit? If this is the case, she definitely could have just stuck around HB because it wouldn’t matter at all if she was playing the game with him since she isn’t in any real danger (although HB keeps saying it’s dangerous). And once PSH knows this, she shouldn’t keep flinching because she feels no pain. She should just go running around with weapons to help HB! It doesn’t make sense.
EDIT: I completely overlooked PSH's level in the game. She's only level 1, so every time she was "killed" by a NPC, she'd lose and be automatically logged out. That makes sense and is consistent throughout the show.
What doesn't is her being able to talk to Emma before reaching level 5.
Also, PSH could still be playing with HB without worrying about feeling pain or being in danger as long as she doesn't become his ally. She can technically fight enemies alongside HB. The only thing she wouldn't be able to do is join his quest but could still follow him and "block" enemies. So, I'm still confused as to why HB keeps sending her home and telling her that it's too dangerous.

I do agree that the character PSH plays is quite useless. She provides only a little context that helps move the story, but her part could basically be written out and the story would still be good. I wished she played a different character that was more involved instead of a a typical female who waits to be rescued. PSH deserves better.
I just finished reading all the chapters in the book dealing with the big fight. Wow. It's very different from…
Honestly, I wished the writer and director had stuck with the fight in the novel, word for word, action for action. It was AMAZING! Too bad the fight in the drama was simply mediocre, and the ending completely disappointing.
looks like PSH will really play important role in this game development after the episode preview of 13maybe she…
Honestly, the last few episodes have been a bit boring. I did get a little excited with the preview of the next episode and when Mr. Cha finally saw his dead son, although I found the advice that Hyun Bin gave to Mr. Cha was sort of a plot hole? How does Hyun Bin know that simply deleting a username will allow him to live and not be constantly attacked by enemies? If this was the case, Hyun Bin could have "revealed" what he was seeing this whole time to everyone and get them on board with him, then have everyone delete their username or help him as an ally. It's all sooo confusing and annoying. Anyway, am patiently waiting for how everything concludes.

It does seem like she'll do something important with the game...but we shall see. Like donutle, I also see this drama as having one main lead and everyone else is simply a supporting character. No one does anything except for Hyun Bin. I was initially super excited that Hyun Bin finally had an ally who can help him in the game since PSH didn't step up, but then was extremely disappointed with what happened to Min Jin Woong, the secretary, 'cause I'm still unsure of how he even died. ((If the scriptwriters explain the game as becoming stronger and can kill people, then I wonder how all the testers are still alive?))

Also, I laughed so hard about what Director Zhang said of Zhu Yilong. Zhu Yilong is gorgeous. I’ll take him! Lol

Anyway, I hope the case with Sangsang will be true. Keeping my fingers crossed.
