I agree with so many of you. This was such a good drama. I guess I'll just rewatch NIF and then rewatch this again if nothing else catches my attention. TT (literal tears streaming down my face)
I think it's fine if you're Korean, you fluently speak the Korean language, or you're learning the language and the culture.
It's not and is sort of disrespectful, as well as considered cultural appropriation, if you do not meet any of the above and using the word on other Asians.
It would be more appropriate to call her "jie jie," would it not?
I liked this. It has a feel of Game of Thrones and World War Z to it. Can't wait for Season 2.
For those who haven't watched it yet, if you're the type who likes to binge watch and have a complete ending, WAIT!!
For those who likes to take it slow, can wait long periods between shows, and just want something interesting to watch and likes zombies, gore, politics, and historical settings, you should get started on this!
It's for you to decide how this story ends, just like in any RPG game. For a gamers perspective, it was interesting…
Wouldn't it be so awesome if AR progresses to this state? I would totally be one of those people playing the game! The chunky VR headsets we have now are just gross compared to the lenses in the drama.
ITS OBVIOUSLY A HAPPY ENDING. WHY?I know that many people are really dissatisfied with this drama’s ending.…
OMG THANK YOU!! I really like the concept of this drama, but it was just written with so many illogical ideas and events. I felt like the writer believes "magic" is something illogical, or had used the word "magic" just to cover up her lazy writing because she didn't want to put too much thought into the world building and creating a system. If she had truly thought out everything, this drama would have been so AMAZING. Seriously, I watched the entire drama again just to see if I had missed any explanations. And nope. I found even more unreasonable things and have more questions. Also, the character, Sejoo, completely pissed me off. You said it correctly. As a developer of the game, how can Sejoo have so little knowledge of what he created? And he's described as a genius. Unbelievable.
I think one of the reasons why some are disappointed (with the ending) is because they added romance in it so…
I disagree. I think many people are disappointed because of all the plot holes within the story that didn't make sense. The way the drama concluded with an open ending was fine. I am rather disappointed that it ended without little to no explanation on some factors and also made some ridiculous scenes that could have been solved in a much better manner.
this uncle thing bothers me. Is that just a courtesy title? I noticed a lot of talk about being introduced to…
Yes, it's a courtesy title. In Asian traditions, calling others aunt, uncle, brother, sister is normal and is usually given to indicate having some sort of familial type relationship/friendship and doesn't necessarily mean they are blood related.
On the other hand, marrying cousins is seen as okay, especially among the nobility, and many cultures do it. European countries was the worst in interbreeding, btw.
Imo this is not the best ending a show could get, but at the same time i do find it kinda expected. Honestly if…
Agreed about the game being released to the public. If the dueling feature is still active, especially during the guild wars, everyone is gonna be a bug again.
This is the biggest problem I had about the ending: Seju is a bug. Marco is a bug. He has to be to keep coming back and attacking Seju. As you've pointed out, everything started because of Marco and Seju. How can Emma reset the game if all the bugs were not deleted? Seju and Marco are THE MAIN bugs in the game! Jinwoo being deleted as a bug and disappearing into the game should have also been the same fate Seju got, but Seju returned safe and sound because the title of "Master" was given to Jinwoo?? This is the worst reward that Seju could have thought of for the game. And this ending doesn't resolve ANYTHING!
Honestly, I should have known that a crappy ending that doesn't fully make sense would be given since it's the same writer as W.
Spoiler!!So I think I found the answer to my own question. ......I guess Gu Tingye ended up getting truly married.…
In the novel, GTY stays loyal. He doesn't even spare a glance at the concubines, because both he and ML suffered growing up due to concubines and other wives.
For being so smart, Jinwoo sure is dumb and made even dumber decisions. If he can suddenly use the Key of Heaven (when supposedly only Emma, who has the Hand of Fatima, is able to use it to delete bugs) to delete all the bugs, why didn't he just stick with deleting Mr. Cha, his enemy, and then ally with Seju and delete Marco? That would have been the end! Sure, Seju and Jinwoo will continue to be the bugs within the game, but it would have been fine. And if they wanted to release the game so that everyone else can play, just delete the Duel feature.
God, the plot holes and questions are endless in the drama. Can I REWRITE this drama?? I'm disappointed.

As for the Korean cast, I feel like Jo Jae Yun would make a better Boyle.
