I'm glad I didn't have any expectations towards this drama because this is amusing and probably will be the death of me along with W. T A T What a family blessed by genetics! lol Jesus... seriously. Ha Neul's character is a real prince charming, I'm on the floor. ;; And Jun Ki's scary but also captivating and just.... aposkdpowapos Though there hasn't been much going on I believe it's good paced and entertaining.
But I can't stand the fight scenes. I think Jun Ki forgot he's no longer a vampire because he's going overboard and flying everywhere... @w@
Other than that... YELLS!!! Episode #4 preview will have me anticipating til next week. :(
P.S.: I do hope they don't make them all fall for her because that would be ridiculous though, c'mon, writers. Don't mess it up!
This drama is freaking brilliant!!! *is a 23 year-old who's been watching kdramas for 5 years and hates when is…
I agree. My criticism is based on facts - be it either positive or not - and I adore reading reviews because we can see both sides (of those who enjoyed and of those who didn't as long as there're solid reasons stated). It's interesting to see both sides because if a show is only praised by fans, others will raise their expectations way too high, might get terribly disappointed and that results in bitterness (my case with BBF). People should always express their opinions in the form of argumentation and facts. One thing is to criticize a show and its components (and if people take it personally, that's their particular problem), something else entirely is to undermine it with bad vocabulary and criticize their audience. Then again, like you, I might be being SOMEWHAT of a hypocrite considering my BBF review. lol But I like to think my lesson's learned.
I love it so far! Really! But there's something missing... I also felt that with DOTS.
I do agree they got extra cheesy there but there's the whole "manhwa" thing. But on Yeon Joo's defense, Kang Chul is the character she created, her ideal type since teenage years. That's why I don't find it forced... cheesy, yes. But not forced. In fact, I think he fell in love a lot faster if we put it under that light. Her infatuation is only natural. His was a bit too fast. Then again... we don't know if this whole "key to my life" thing is something pre-designed as well, as if he was already supposed to love her no matter what. Could be.
I lack the words to explain how I feel about W. I believe only a nerd can understand how fully this rips my soul…
I lost it at "killer daddy plot" omg XD hahahahaha Epic! That was très bizarre, if you ask me but I love it, ooooh man. Their plan didn't work too well. The killer is a mad dog on the loose. He's the real monster.
But yeah, her puppy look towards him is so heartbreaking. :( The memory loss thing is just... aidsjioawjios straight up punch in the face.
I lack the words to explain how I feel about W. I believe only a nerd can understand how fully this rips my soul into pieces. I was so exhausted of seeing more of the same in dramas and W is so refreshing because it gets you like "WHOA, WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?" or "DUUUUDE, WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON ANYMORE!" and "DANG LET'S SEE HOW THEY'LL FIX THAT NOW".
I believe the whole purpose of the entertainment industry is to... well. ENTERTAIN. And if that isn't enough to please you, you need to seek elsewhere for your cup of tea.
Episode 7 + 8 were unreal, and took some detour into romance land, where Yeon Joo forgets all about being a doctor…
That being said, I think she's being portrayed as a poor doctor from start. For a change. Doctor main characters generally are portrayed as geniuses... she seems pretty bored of her routine/life from the very first episode. Btw... hiiiiiiiiiii friend. c:
I absolutely dislike UF so far (I haven't watched the latest episodes) but this article is 5-star material, Jasmine. I agree with you in basically every sentence and I'm tempted to put this drama on hold and rewatch it from the start later on to try a different perspective. Since this is about the tangled and complicated romance between the leads, their lack of chemistry makes it impossible for me to be touched by the story and all the melo becomes a burden. It looks way too confusing, senseless and mechanical. Then again, some moments involving the supporting cast really caught me such as the piggyback scene, as you mentioned; the moral struggles Ji Tae goes through and his father's unresolved love/guilt issues. I can't help to think something's missing (I haven't watched old school dramas so that may be the reason), as you mentioned: looks like there's editting problems. If the show followed a linear storyline I think it would be a lot easier to deliver their relationship. I just have a lot of complaints about this drama since all UF seems to me is a messy mix of great possibilities that just don't go together... so far, at least. And it makes me sad all over while people see me as a hater... it's true I expected something else entirely but I'm quite flexible and I like melos! But the show just doesn't work to me AS a melo. It's a big disappointment after anticipating for this ever since it was announced... but well... perhaps I really should put this on hold for now.
WHYYYYY DID THEY PUSH IT BACK AGAIN! T A T I yelled so bad when I found out Taehyungie was gonna be on it! n_n He's my ultimate lil alien and I hope he doesn't make a fool of himself XD (I doubt it though because he acts terrificly fine in those MVs but...). Come on, I need to watch this asap. ;;
I'm still waiting for this to get interesting... It took me 3 hours or more to watch episode 8 because I kept…
And now's the moment I agree with you. XD
I've yet to catch up with the latest episodes. Everyone's saying it's highly emotional and I do hope I'll cry along!!!

I guess nothing else needs to be said.
