Watched ep 26 raw, he followed her and her class. Not sure if he finally knew that she is a professor because…
Perfect coincidental cover up in 26. MR told the group not to address her so formally as professor and just call her MR or MRJso once again another missed opportunity to find out her job
Ep 26 preview undubbed. My heart is already melting at how ZY has just done a 180 and is just speaking his feelings (finally!) to her at every turn 🥰☺️. I’m so smitten !
I was looking forward to seeing Zhuang Yu grovel but now I feel bad for him after how MeiRen behaved at his home…
It’s okay. His little cute looks showed that he knew what she was up to! He knows he has to pay some penance back! I loved that he was forbearing and kept telling her parents that he understands her 🥰
Just finished this and binged it in 2.5 days! I came here for a quick light hearted series while waiting for another show to finish dubbing.
My thoughts on the: Music- this seemed so out of place for a historical “drama”. This felt like some 1990s hype music for high schoolers about to go on a grand adventure. I mean essentially it’s the same thing but it should have been more reflective of the “period”. It made me laugh every time the bg music came on. Made it seem tacky Acting- the main draw was Caesar ofc. I tried to watch him in General’s Lady but Seven Tan is SO AWFUL in it. A lot of people raved about her but her character was written so poorly and she kept doing bad things. Anyway I digress. Caesar was still a bit stiff in his acting, he has such promise but I def made it through for him. The rest of the cast was okay. There was some overacting from Tangtang but I enjoyed him. Plot line- suspend your beliefs. Lol! This was so all over the place. For a period drama, how could they expect and encourage the girl to go to war, engage in physical feats without consulting her first or seeing the downfall? Yes she grew up in the streets but that was when she was YOUNG. When she became the adopted companion no way she was able to maintain tomboy lifestyle and be able to endure running, physical labor and military training 😒. The Actors Together- this was my FAVORITE part. I loved how TEAM! they were. They all kept something from each other and surprisingly everyone took it in stride when secrets came out. But really when they were together it was the most wholesome thing. I loved that they went adventuring/investigating together and that they still could be together despite the awkward romantic entanglements. Romance- it was decent, good. They played YiYi being a guy too long and leaving ZiAn struggling with his sexuality too long— I felt bad for him.
Good pacing and changing “scenery” to keep it going.
I feel so bad for the latter Crown Prince. He was definitely the one left out the whole time but I guess it was predetermined early on in the carriage scene. Still, I feel bad.
I’m glad Dugu got his happy ending too and his lady was able to be redeemed!
