In 2009, the government had to suspend the currency due to hyperinflation causing 1 USD = 35 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars (yes you read that right). The currency was eventually brought back but this year hyperinflation is already at 130%+.

The joke the drama is making is that the product is as worthless as a worthless currency, which the Zimbabwean dollar essentially is (and a lot of Zimbabweans prefer to use the USD). It's an intellectual joke and not a haha funny joke.
