Song and Yoo are super actors but to me, Yoo Ah-in is the best Korean actor today.

Ok, makes sense. Yes, his acting in this drama is incredibly realistic of the character he is playing.
One really feels his pain, his joy and his angst, unlike many other actors can do.

Hi mtfbwy! I am starting Episode 38. I did watch part of Episode 40 without subs just to see if they would get back together again.

Yes, most of the romance dramas are not adult oriented which is a problem for me. This was an exception so that is why I was watching it.

Besides Chen Kun is fantastic in this drama, in every way.

I haven't watched him before because I am not a big fan of historical dramas and it seems that he is in many of them but oh, what a surprise.

There is an interesting interview of him on youtube - his real persona is different from his role in With The Future.

Anyway, why do you like Chen Kun?

There is a scene in Ep 12 where CW and YS are on the sofa kissing. But the next immediate scene shows JW waking up and CW sleeping on the floor. CW tests JW's forehead to see if he still has a temperature.

So my question is was that scene on the sofa in JW's dream and really it didn't happen?

I agree with you but the amount of film time spent on everything else except for the main leads is not good for the drama. Too many business details, too much time spent on Fang Wei and other side stories, the writer should have spent more time on the 2 leads and sorting out their issues.
I really like this drama a lot but I would have liked it more if less time were spent on side stories and very small business detailings that are hard to follow. I'm on episode 37 but waiting for the subs.

Chen Kun is fantastic in this drama, ruggedly handsome, interesting facial expressions, the best of the best and Xin Zhi Lei is a wonderful actress as well.

I wanted to see more of them then just occasionally. IMHO.

Am waiting for the final 4 episodes.

broke up in ep 33 I think. I was quite a miserable breakup but 7 more episodes to go and I have a feeling that they might get back together. They are a real miserable duo but they love each other a lot. They are just on opposite sides.

I can't imagine! I was screaming last night so even my neighbors could possibly hear me :-) It's really getting at the boiling point :-)

It's so interesting that Disney is showing Korean dramas. As an American I find that sad. I've never been a fan of Disney's works even when I was a child. Now they jumped on the bandwagon.

I have to say I like the Korean dramas that Netflix has but now even Apple is joining in on on the fun. More sad.

What I'm worried about Disney showing Korean dramas is that they will Americanize them to the point where the only thing that we will recognize is the Korean language.

The reason I watch Asian dramas/movies is that I have given up on American made movies about 5 years ago.

I agree - both leads are fantastic beyond words. (IMO). I've not seen either one of the leads but I'll try to follow them from now on.

He was excellent in The Undatables (2018) and Awaken (2020). I loved him in both these very different dramas. His acting ability is fantastic as he can take on very different roles and still be very believable. Good news!!!!

You are so right. You mentioned 2 of my favorite dramas and My Sunshine was a definite rewatch.
I'm up to Ep 30 and the romance between the two leads does get better and the romantic tension between them is really something!!!
(Certainly out of the normal for many Chinese dramas.)

You are so right!! All we get from the leads is either their arguments or before they jump into bed. They both say that they are in a relationship but we don't see the relationship as of yet. Good point dpk_11. It's like their relationship quality time has been left out. Maybe less business time and more personal time spent on drama?

Boring because in part, it has become so repetitive. the writer had 50 episodes to fill up and unless the writer is super creative and has time, the writer had to keep creating plot issues.

This drama could have been covered in 20-30 episodes with a lot less melodrama (soap opera).

However, it is funny, and most of us can't identify with it so it is safe to watch (no angst) - a good departure from our own lives.

I watched episode 30 and at the end in the preview it looks like the ML might, (just might) come back to his senses.

Also there are other side stories that can be fun to watch - and maybe Sara might go for Cha Gun instead.

We'll see!!!!

Also, the timed comments on Viki are hilarious. They add so much humor to the already over sudsy Young Lady.
I think we all watch it because it's funny, it's campy and it really doesn't hit home. it's just a bunch of people that are acting stupid and we can sit and laugh at it and it doesn't affect us personally.
