Yes, I'll watch Luo Yun Xi in anything he is in BUT Broker exhausted me completely. I really don't like Victoria Song, she sucks out the air in any of the dramas I've seen her in. (eg: Lover or Stranger etc).

Win the Future is really exciting in so many ways: ML and FL passionate/hate relationship, interesting business stuff and I love the OST. It's so weird, in watching it on Viki.com, no one seems to be commenting. Not even the complainers about the lack of subs. I don't understand what is going on with this drama's publicity also. Strange.

I am a happy ending person too!!! I don't like bad endings and I hope Win the Future has a good one.

I watched Search: WWW. Somehow the ending was up in the air so to speak? Wasn't it about 3 women who get together to flourish and survive?

I watched it with subs on Viki and what I've discovered is that if only a partial portion of a drama is subbed, somethings if you close it and restart the drama (while staying in Viki), you can get more subbed portion of the episode.
I think the subbers work hard and continuously add more subs. In other words, it's almost real time and you can get a few more subbed portions of the drama by closing and reopening the drama.

17 and 18 were really good - the cut throat is astounding. The occasional romance between the leads is good too.

I hope this sleeper has come alive!

How do we complain about that issue? We can't complain to the writers but really an article would be great. I wish I could write as well as some people that write those long articles.

From what I understand, because MDL is for English speaking people, the writers may not care about how we feel or read about our comments.

But this issue affects everyone that watches these dramas/ movies, English speaking or otherwise.

Maybe I can write to Netflix. :-)

To me that's not fair. I would rather see the drama concentrate on the two leads instead of the rest of them being featured so much.

I apologize Achi, yes they did show FL's mom and dad when she went to visit them. They were nice people. Dumb me, sorry. As far as ML father, he got mentioned but I don't think I've seen him. Again apologies!

That is sad about fang wei, he has been trying so hard. Yes, luo jia looked abs beautiful in orange. She is such a good actress and her eyes tell it all.

I love this series but I really got very confused on ep 17 where the 2 main leads were writing on the white board. I didn't know what it was all about but I think the ML was planning on winning. Love his facial expressions.

I wish I could write to the writer. I looked at his dramas that he wrote on MDL and I was not impressed. Dramas with long episodes with relatively low rating, except for Young Lady and the Gent.

I wonder why the LM was gone for 7 years. He seems like a very sweet man and doesn't follow the usual K-drama idol personality. Sad, though.

Probably he gets bad roles but tries to make the best of them. From the interview, he seems like a very nice person.

He has a new one supposedly coming out called Oh Man Sang and Prejudice but no definite date published.

Yes, flashbacks a lot. Flashbacks are ok but don't feature them majorly,

Enough of that. I skip a lot of the flashbacks even though they give reasons for why the main leads are the way they are but don't make them the major part of the drama.

I like the ML however - loved him in Parasite. A good idea to wait until the end - I've been doing that recently. Lesson learned :-)

I'll try to find the review, thanks. ML is doing a great job in spite of the bad writing. There are a few interviews of him on Youtube. He comes off as a very humble person in one of the interviews. Also there is a funny Youtube of him and the FL, interviewed by some funny people.

In both interviews, he remains the same - humble, calm, non assuming and sort of cute spacey. So unusual for a K-drama actor, I think. I like!

Yes, I too would drop it if it weren't for him and the kids. The rest of them are either weak, stupid, evil or a combo of each.

I liked the ML in Lonely Enough To Love. Low ratings on that one but interesting plot that I've never seen before.

This drama is super soapy, the suds are coming right out of my computer screen!
However, saving grace are the children. They are so real - no soap there.
I watch this as a filler but I do like the ML and the one song he sings throughout the drama. It's on Youtube.

If you want to watch a Luo Yun Xi drama with intense angst it is Broker. It is awful. Pure awful. After he did Love is Sweet his dramas are a far departure from that. But he is one of my most favorite actors and I would understand that he would want to vary his acting roles, but!

Yes, after the first 20 episodes, it goes dark. Dark is ok but there is a total change in the plot. And the amount of time spent on Ji Xiao Bing and his plotting schemes is ridiculous.

I'm currently watching Win The Future. It is fantastic - it's on Viki. Tightly written, interesting romance, intense business, the best for now but it too can change like Lie to Love.

This drama is a sleeper!. No cringe, very tightly written (can't miss a scene), excellent actors, great camera work, main leads' chemistry, fantastic, so unless the writer screws it up from now on, this will be one of my top 10!

The only relative of ML that has shown up is his really neat grandmother who lives with him. No other mother/father has shown up yet that I can tell . However, every episode is tightly written so I may have missed something . I"m beginning Ep 16/40 so a lot can happen from now on. .

It's really the best. I can't stop watching it. It's a bit business complicated for me but the more I watch the more I understand what's going on. And the love chemistry between the two leads is astounding.

Where there is romance, it is really romance. No kid stuff. I'm on Ep 14 and I haven't seen any love triangles. It's mostly business with a few hot scenes from the 2 main leads. The chemistry between them is really good. So different from regular dramas. Now there are I think 40 episodes so anything can happen. But this drama is catchy but a lot of business intrigue.

I'm up to Ep 14 and I love every episode. ML Chen Kun is everything real in this drama: his full of expression, handsome face, his acting, everything - perfect! He's not a 20 year old pretending to be 40 which is so common in today's China dramas!

FL Xin Zhi Lei is also perfect in her own way. A good vibrant actress and the chemistry between them is strong and believable.

This is somewhat of an adult drama, lots of business stuff, some romance between 2 leads, no going back to when they were children (at least for now, hopefully) and the plot can be treacherous.
Looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

Also annoying tropes are at a minimum or none at all, at least for now.

I would highly recommend this drama if you like serious dramas (at least up to Episode 14 out of 40. )
