I personally prefer the korean version, but each has its own charm, it all depends on your preference. The focus…
I agree, I liked the Korean version so much better. Loved the ending - this C version is too soft pedaled. So sweet, so polite. The last two episodes were blah!
Use for my talents was ultimately a waste for my time. With very good actors they could have done more. It started…
I kind of agree with you - the last two episodes did not reach the heights that it should have reached. It was filled with sweetness and light but oh so polite. Jasper is one of my most favorite actors but I've seen him in much better roles.
I broke my tradition of silent watching over comments after reading people commenting on how 'childish' Esther…
I agree with you - Ester can take both roles: bubbly and serious when needed. I'm really enjoying this drama series - and your points are really well made. Thank you!
I am on Episode 12 and wondering why my Han accepted this project to be honest. The FLs character is blaaa. I…
Thank you Azura! I will look at your list. Actually you might think me way off but my favorite Asian movie is Burning. I'll make a list too! Yep, Burning!
Guys is it really that bad? All I see is "trash" so will it be a waste of time?
No it is not a waste of time. Look this is not a $$$$ budget film, like say Vincenzo etc but in its simplicity and lack of money, it got right straight to the point!!!!
It is short and sweet! Just finished watching the 12 episodes. Yes, low budget in every respect but it was very nice to watch. No evil people trying to destroy their relationship, only one supporting couple, the leading couple solved most of their initial issues with common sense, no unnecessary hospital scenes, no amnesia, and no big white trucks running over people. Unlike the 50-100 episodes of some Chinese dramas, the writers were able to grasp the love, issues, family in 12 episodes. Congratulations!

Funny as an American, I never watched Asian movies or dramas. Netflix started me on this path and I have never gone back to American films. Even my husband watched Vincenzo and Come Crashing Down on you but so far, I'm the lone Asian file watcher among my friends etc. Probably we should be friends on MDL to share more info on Asian films!!!
I just finished watching it, at first I didn't really like it because the game simulations were not of interest to me so I skipped most of the simulation parts. However, having said that, the later episodes don't have the games and that is when the story begins. Lin Yi is excellent as he was in Put Your Head on my shoulder. His acting ability is far beyond his years. Lulu Xu was also very good and became more convincing as we get into the story. For those of you that are turned off by the beginning episodes, keep going and you will get rewarded for watching it until the end. I would give it a 9. I watched it on IQ.com. The romance between the ML and FL was convincing and touching!

Someday I'll make a list of what I liked and didn't like That takes time. Yep, Sunshine of my life was really good, make watch it again....! Thanks Azura.

Han is executive producer of this series so wouldn't he have some control over it? He was also EP of "If Paris, Downcast", which was another flop in my opinion. One of the best Chinese actors of course!
I like it much better than the Korean version, however there is not much tension - lots of sweet, mushy stuff and such. The problem with the Korean version, it took too much time for the Fl to make up her mind and the end was not very satisfying. Blunt end and I hope this version doesn't follow. Jasper Liu is as excellent as usual. FL's hair style is a bit childish but she is wise too.
It's based on haruki Murakami book which is based on surrealism and or realism..it's not a movie for everyone…
It's been awhile that I've watched it, I think there is a love triangle and he is definitely the ML. It goes partly back to the 30's when Japan had invaded Korea. That historical part was a bit too much but anyway, it was special. Yes, there is a romcom part of it but mostly the magic of the typewriter and the historical part of it but the romance is not big but it's there! I would watch it for sure.

He is everything you say he is! On Viki.com, watch him on "Secret Love Affair" Wow-wow-eee! The tension was unbearable. The classical music was wonderful. I haven't been able to watch the end because I wanted to see a happy ending so I'm waiting for the guts to watch the end. He's also special in "Chicago Typewriter". Interesting to read about him too.
