Because I didn't notice that the series was a C-drama. I was just comparing the writing, the acting and the story. Normally I look at the origin of the drama but this time I didn't.
I like them both - C/dramas like Road Home and K/dramas like It's ok Not to Be OK and My Liberation Notes.
u shouldn't compare between K-drama and C-drama, queen of tears still so good and I really like last episodes…
Actually I'm not new to C dramas - I've watched a lot of them. This time I just didn't look at its origin. I've watched Xu kai in 3-4 other dramas. I like the way he acts. The end of ep 16 with the water play was great.
Maybe because the mother makes you want to throw something across the room every time she opens her gob! Man she's…
I rated it about a 9 so I'm with you! I think the watchers got turned off at the beginning when they found the family so obedient to the mother. They were all slaves to her and I think, feared her too.
Watched trailers for next 4 episodes.....and I am disappointed! After everything her mother is still around ,…
I've watched up to ep 16. Which trailer episodes are you disappointed in? I hope that the mother is still not interfering with the FL beyond ep 16. thanks!

I didn't realize that Choice was a C drama. I try to look at the drama itself instead of where it came from. Good point Nanoush and thank you for bringing that difference out!
What I do like about Choice is that there are 2 new episodes every day (on IQ).
Comparison between Best Choice Ever (on IQ.com) and Queen of Tears (on Netflix):
I am currently watching Best Choice Ever (ep 16/37) and Queen of Tears (ep 12/16).
Queen of Tears was excellent up to a few episodes but the last few episodes, IMHO, have gone steadily down. (from 8.8 to about 8.2). If it weren't for the excellent actors to save it, it would be just another K-series.
However, Best Choice Ever is becoming my number 1 choice (at least for now) between the two series.
Just watch toward the end of ep 16 of Choice. Beautiful camera work, great acting, and the beginning of a relationship between the leads and the wise grandmother are exquisitely done.
Some might say that the FL's mother is the problem with the series. Yes, she is. She is awful, intruding, and controlling. I hope her issues just go away or maybe she can go away, quietly,
I might change my mind about Best Choice but for now, it is my number one pick.
PSH is an amazing actor i’ve seen almost every drama which realeased after glory of his. i have to say there…
Actually, I find PSH the most interesting character of all the characters in this series. I liked him so much in Into The Ring. He is multi-talented because he can take different roles and play a different person. What is strange for me is that PSH looks different in each series he plays in. That takes talent.
QOT deserves more than a 8.9. It literally deserves the drama of the year award
Really? I don't feel so. It started well and now it has a lot of makjang. I might be in the minority but for me, it has slipped from an 8.8 to a 8.2 in the last few episodes.
Me too! Underrated! I have watched up to ep 10 and I am enjoying every minute of it - No dull moments, It's a nice drama - Drama queen mother, beat down father, two obedient children (adult), and some interesting office maneuvers. I can see romance in the air. Only 1/4 way through. Fun!
She is really screwed up. But darn, she sure can act the part.
I didn't find it on IQ.
Thank you for letting me know.

Is anyone going to stop her?
Who owns Yueda Group?
Who owns Xinganli?
Thanks so much.
