loved it in the beginning but my interest has been steadily declining since ep 10. what is this forced conflict…
Agree! I thought it was only me. Toward the end, some writers seem to like to significantly add evil ex-girlfriends or interfering in-laws to muddy up the water. Is there any other way to write a story?
This is adding an old trope - come on writers, adding the evil ex-girlfriend is not always necessary and makes women look bad.
I mean , I would agree that he doesn't look like ML based on a manhwa and he is lackluster in comparision to that…
You are so right - The women are so light weight and seem to drink endlessly that it is painful to watch. Same for the men but at least they are heavier.
So the ML in Parasite lose a lot of money? I wonder why. Poor man. I am from California USA and smoking in our state is really looked down upon. However drinking is common.
Very nice conversation with you Pal123! I'm off for the night.

That poor man - you are so right. He did take bold steps - I've watched Burning at least times because his acting was so good - and the story was so different. Then there is Hellbound - and Chicago Typewriter, and Affair - his talent is endless. In Korea I don't think he will make a comeback - if he knew English, he might be successful.

The real sad case, at least to me, is what happened to Yoo Ah In. He is my most favorite of all actors but he got mixed up with drugs and Korea threw the book at him. I can't even get any new info on him.
Netflix kicked him out too.
I wonder what is happening to him now?
Unfortunately he committed a grave Korean mortal sin by taking some drugs illegally.

I don't know if the Stars Gossip will ever be released. The US filming industry was like that years ago - beauty over all. They have changed radically - not beauty but acting, and good script.
Also agree with you on Jdramas- they are more on acting, and not necessarily on beauty.

Totally agree with you!!! Acting is the most important. The ML in Parasite and My Mister, who just died, poor man. It wasn't that he was so handsome but he had a demeanor that was attractive - I can't describe it and he could act well.

Speaking of Lee Min Ho, when is When the Stars Gossip coming up? I"ve been looking forward to that series- it is supposed to come up in '24. Definition of Attractive - hard to define :-) I'm a fan of Lee Sang Yoon. He has played an asshole in at least 3 series but he's a really good actor and I think he is handsome. Of course for younger people he is 40+ so that may matter.
Another example: In Hidden Love the ML is precious - he's not perfect but the way he handles himself is unique.
i haven't read the webtoon, do you mind letting me know what was the type of project they originally had? i'm…
Well it was quite a controversy. The writer introduced a prince from Middle East. The prince fit some stereotype that many viewers felt was wrong. I don't know if any scenes were removed from King the Land for that was a strong request from the people from the Middle East.

Loved Run On! And Im Si Wan was great in it.
Interesting that Song Kang's looks didn't really intefere with his performance in Nevertheless or even less in Navirella. He was just fine in both of these series, especially Navirella. I hope that the studios don't take advantage of Song's looks to the point that the whole story loses impact. Thanks for your thoughts - I fully agree. btw: it is interesting to watch on YT an interview with Song Kang - He is so natural and human too.

Poor soul, I hope he can come back.

Now we have to wait until next week. It could not be better.
The number of complaints were over the top.
I'm making a list of all the OSTs that I really like.
It's taking forever to find them on YT.

We can go on - such an interesting subject.
Song Kang was just natural in Nevertheless. The ending was cute - he grew up and so did the FL.
I love the OST in Nevertheless.
I hope so too that they will use his acting skills and not his beauty.
Beauty helps but other talents are needed.
