A very unique and unexpected series!
You have got to watch Can This Love Be Translated!!!!!
I have a blending of mixed feelings about it - However, I liked it a lot - it was very different than what I am usually used to but in spite of the strangeness and beauty of the series, watching was definitely worthwhile.
This series was strange, imaginative, distinctive, blending fantasy, surrealism, memory, and dreams and romantic as well. Ending was lovely. The scenes taken in various nations like Italy and Canada give it an international taste as well.
Kim Seon Ho as the ML and Go Youn Jung as the FL did an excellent job - especially the FL, having to be 2 different people, one imaginary one real.
Kim Seon Ho, from Cha Cha Cha, was handsome as usual but played a quite serious role.
The Hong sisters, who wrote the script hit another success, although there are a lot of mixed remarks on MDL.
I would give it at least an 8.5 but it is hard to score it because it is so different and can't be compared to other series.
I think Korea filming is finally realizing that it can't keep making dumb series like Potato Lab, Dynamite Kiss and other like series. Many are getting pretty tired of the same old tropes.
Idol I, Translated, Love Me, Spring Fever and others coming up, hopefully will bring new ideas - let's hope, C dramas and J dramas are just around the corner competing.
