I'm taking the following moments of today's episode with me because they pulled at my heartstrings in the best possible way:
-the moment when Duang thought Qin's heart was beating faster because of Tiw only for Duang to clarify later that his heart was beating faster because he was in distress watching Duang's tearful gaze
-that heartbreaking but also beautifully touching moment Duang started to cry feeling relief and happiness when Qin told him he chooses him and that he feels the same way as Duang feels
-the last scene where they're just affectionate towards each other with Qin basking in Duang's attention, offering his cheek and neck for kisses and then that Eskimo kiss π that whole scene was my favourite because we got to see Qin going from black cat personified to someone who is happily smiling and feeling safe enough to just feel knowing his feelings are reciprocated.
Cat for Cash might be the best BL nobodyβs talking about. It genuinely deserves more love than itβs getting.By…
You know, whenever I see your username and "hide spoiler" tag, it kinda feels like opening a little present π Your insightfulness and the way you're able to shift perspectives is a constant breath of fresh air we all need on sites like this one and tbh in general πβ¨
I'm enjoying this series immensely - overall acting, pacing, cinematoraphy, the leads! After watching last two episodes, two scenes stand out for me - what was nicely handled in ep. 7 was the way Se Na decided to give up on Ra Ik when she thought she would never see him again and not to prove him anything. It felt more impactful, at least for me. What I absolutely loved about ep. 8 was the lake scene where they cleared everything up. Usually, those kind of scenes between main leads always feel rushed or they would get interrupted by something or someone in the most crucial moment. But here, that moment and their conversation was simply perfect β just the two of them finally clearing the air between them with that beautiful background music. I wouldn't have done it better myself π Jae Yeong and Soo Young have this comfortable and natural chemistry and are doing amazing job in bringing their characters to life π
Can you tell me which dramas were also written by rookie writers?
Thank you π I wasn't aware (maybe I missed that info) that Head over heels, The judge from hell and Typhoon family were written by rookies - I enjoyed watching these series! I'll definitely check the others on your list, thanx again β¨π
On the other hand, him finding out this early gives the room for everything to simmer down and unravel more naturally, without everything being crammed in 2 episodes...
This series is another proof of what happens when right people gather in the same place at the same time π For me, Japanese BLs are rarely a miss, but this oneβ¦ this one was an absolute gem! From quality acting, natural chemistry between the main leads, pacing, cinematography, to supportive friends β everything was just right, I loved it from the first episode till the lastβ¦ π Hioki's expressions were one of the best I saw so far, his micro expressions were perfectly timed and placed. I loved how he and Watarai communicated, how they were both shy and insecure but at the same time brave to go for what they want π This will remain one of my absolute Japanese favourites that I'll come back to for a cup of feel good energy and wholesomeness β¨β¨
Honestly, I'm loving this - the fact that FL is a hard core fan is not a problem so far and I'm curious to see how they'll portrait the process of her getting to know the real Ra Ik, beyond all that stage glitz and celebrity glamour, with all his flaws and imperfections, to see how she will reconcile her fangirl view of him with the man he really is. They don't even have to end up together, I just want to see that character development β¨
Ah yes - Cho Yong Pil, Seo Joon Hee, Kurosawa Yuichi, Yoo Ji Hyuk and Ryu Seon πβ€οΈ Thank you for the reminder, I think it's time to rewatch certain series π Have a great holiday season ππ

This episode was the best one yet β¨

What a pretty plot twist it would be if Se Na (right after when she asked Ra Ik what would he do if someone he trusted the most lied to him) admitted she is his fan and came clean about everything, just so for once we avoid this tiring misunderstanding/lying clichΓ©. I imagine Ra Ik would be pissed as he has every right to be, maybe he would kick the piano (taking into account his hot-headed temper) and storm off leaving Se Na to reflect in that ridiculously wide hallway. After processing what happened, he would then again confront her, they would clear the air and it would actually strengthen whatever it is that's developing between them....
