Honestly I think Ian is just over exaggerating the whole situation, like if anyone saw the way he reacted towards Alt and didn't know the circumstance, they would've thought he like cheated on him or killed his pet hamster or something, Dude he just lied about who he was, and Ian already knew Alt irl too so its not like he was some random stranger lying about who they were. Yes he deceived Ian, but it wasn't crazy, like Ian made it seem worse than it was and the whole story was just revolved around that. But whatever, story was fine, chemistry was decent. Overall an ok watch.
It was okay! Nothing too crazy, not a huge fan of the story overall, and I honestly didn't like how choppy the AI buildings and streets looked when they would cut to another scene, the humans looked very obviously AI so it made the series look very low quality. I think the plot could've been a bit different, the whole love rival felt a bit out of place. But it's not horrible. Overall I think the chemistry is pretty good, and it's a mediocre watch to pass some time.
Very underwhelming series, I know a lot of y'all may disagree but I didn't feel the chemistry, and everything felt super fast paced, I don't blame the little time we had, I mostly blame whoever made this plot, adding too much drama in a short series makes things feel faster than they are because conflict takes time to resolve so everything that was happening was just so fast paced for me, I didn't find the story realistic and it was just not a fun watch. On top of that they leave us in a cliffhanger insinuating a possible 2nd season which will probably not happen, but who knows. Even if it happens I think I speak for majority, most of us wouldn't watch it anyway. This story is meant to be a longer series for it to be decent, more improvement on a lot of things, I know the budget is low and they did what they could, but it just wasn't it. I don't mind vertical series, but I don't think everyone should be jumping into vertical series cause it's not for everyone. And this isn't the first time I see a short vertical series being super underwhelming because of the plot. Let's normalize normal landscape series with 8 episodes and 30 min each again, it will do justice to a lot of plots lacking.
Wow this had me very invested the whole time, my heart was pounding from the tension between those 2. I haven't seen a BL that actually demonstrates tension and yearning in a good while so this felt like a gem. I will say the whole age gap situation is a little weird, I still don't know if the teacher liked the student while he was in high school or not, and the story seemed a bit confusing at first though I think I get it slightly more now. But regardless I don't really have anything negative to say about this short series, I really enjoyed it. I feel like if it had been a good 8 episodes all being around 30 minutes long, more characters, more depth to the story and more slow burn, this would've been a good 10/10 series. But with what we had, it was pretty damn solid.
It wasn't bad, def the fake kiss threw me a bit off cause I haven't seen that in a BL in SO LONG. But it was a very cute short series, the visuals are top tier, and the chemistry was decent. Overall just a cute short series to pass some time. I would def wanna see Kurasu Ko in more BL's as a main character and see where his acting can expand to, I think he can make it far.
This series was a flop in all aspects, I didn't like the script or story, horrible of them to add a cheater and excuse it like if were gonna agree, cheating is bad no matter what but it's slightly more acceptable if it's done to a bad toxic person, not a genuinely good person that seemed to want to put work in a failing relationship. I also didn't feel the chemistry between the main couple, if anything I preferred the old couple better, but he had to cheat so whatever. Also it felt very cringe, I feel like the main character was doing too much Aegyo half the time with his little pout mouth, he just really pissed me off. The subtitles didn't make sense in a lot of scenes to the point I would be so confused on what they were talking about or what their relationship status was like, and it doesn't help that without the membership they cut off a good chunk of scenes which is fine if it doesn't mess with the story overall, but I feel like in this case it did, by episode 2 I was confused because apparently in episode 1 after the accidental kiss, they had a whole makeout session by the end of episode 1, and then in episode 2 they start talking about past events we never witnessed. Made me have fomo. I just genuinely didn't like this series and it felt pointless and boring. And please if you're gonna include special/extra clips for memberships, make sure it doesn't mess with the storyline for the rest of us.
Very bland story, no purpose to it, I'm really tired of production companies making boring stories that are just about a typical day in someones life, like maybe this can be exciting if you're experiencing it yourself but watching it is just boring. The characters were bland and lacked personality, the acting wasn't the best either and maybe it's also because the script was as bad too. Story felt rushed which I guess makes somewhat sense with the 4 episodes we had. I also didn't feel the chemistry at all and the relationship felt forced and fake. Wouldn't recommend.
This was so freaking cute! Love the whole live-stream premise, it's very cute. Love how short and simple this is too, nothing weird or toxic just pure cuteness, and I love the comments from the live lol mostly the one saying they felt like they got put into close friends. It felt realistic. Love it!
It wasn't bad! I actually enjoyed it, I like the chemistry, the visuals, and overall the story wasn't the worst thing ever. Def needs some improvement and with the little time we had since it was a short series, it did what it could. If this had been a full series with slightly better script and plot, it would've been very good! Overall the idea was good, a nice cat and mouse trope and kind of enemies to lovers in a way. Not a bad watch!
Sadly this short series was very boring. I feel like with A LOT of fixing, it could've had somewhat potential, but even then the story itself was very bland and didn't have much excitement. The conflict felt short and rushed, and also a bit unnecessary. I didn't feel the chemistry between the main couple at all. This is rated 15+, yet there aren't any kiss scenes without them being cut off or censored which is odd cause I've seen plenty of 15+ rated BL's in Shortime and just in general, yet they don't censor the kiss scenes, this should be rated at least 13+ if anything. I think so much lacked and it felt more like a chore to watch rather than entertainment. It was pretty pointless. Only time I liked it, was towards the end where the conflict was happening, I liked the acting during those couple episodes and how the actors expressed their emotions and sadness, and also the change in scenery in episode 43, it was a really nice scenery. But other than those very small little details I liked, everything else lacks.
Like many comments and reviews have said, this isn't a fluffy BL and no it doesn't have a happy ending. I see a lot of people interpreting this story differently based on the information we have at hand, some people are saying he did cheat, others say it was just a video from his past because of the job he used to have. Honestly I don't know which one to believe but for me right now I'm leading towards cheating more, but regardless I guess maybe we won't know? I feel like if this film was longer with more context we would understand what the video actually was, was it cheating or just his past? But I did feel rage, I hate and don't understand why people stay in relationships where they're being cheated on, I mean thats a level of no self respect that I won't ever reach, and maybe its cause I haven't been in that situation but I know myself and if someone betrays me and my trust I will never forgive that and leave as soon as possible. I totally understand the attachment, I mean trusting someone in a relationship and with your heart is brave, so realizing its been taken advantage of is heartbreaking to the point your brain will be confused and asking so many questions, making you wanna just stay, mostly if that person is your safe space. Thankfully they broke up in the end, I can see this still hurts for him though due to the crying, but he deserves better and deserves to be respected and happy. I'm not a huge fan of sad stories like these, but that doesn't define my rating, I think theres a lot of lacking aspects to this film that ruined my watching experience, besides the fact that the text message wasn't translated which could've been crucial to the story, this film was not very well made, the acting is decent, but they spend time on scenes that kind of bore you, like 2 minutes at the end just showing the guy crying looking at the picture drawn for him, I think a good 20 seconds max would've been fine. The story itself, isn't the strongest, though I see what they were trying to do with the plot, it was still not interesting enough, and for the little time we had, they didn't execute to their best capacities. I've been contemplating watching this film, the ratings are low, I knew it wasn't a typical BL, and the story just isn't my cup of tea, but I am watching based on a list right now so here we are. Regardless if it was up to me, I would've never watched this, it's simply a very pointless story. And I don't recommend. I will applaud the kiss scenes, cause the intimacy wasn't really that chemistry activated. But this film definitely lacks more than it doesn't.
I really enjoyed this series ngl, the tension was top tier and it was a very different story compared to many other JBL’s only reason why I’m not rating it higher is cause the entire series was just them meeting here and there and very awkward kinds of interactions, them waiting for the competition and also waiting for the identity reveal. We didn’t get to see any moments of them actually being together and all we got was a peck at the end. Though everything is was good, I think we def need a part 2 or season 2 to this for my rating to be higher, because this so far feels unfinished and like it’s still missing more. So I will give it a 7.5/10 and I’ll be praying for a second season. Ps I did like Enaga's "character" more it felt more genuine and less trying to be "cool".
So cute! Glad I got to see more of them and their cute relationship, this was definitely needed after episode 10. I think the series ended fast without us having to see much of their relationship and this gave us a bit of a glimpse on that. Wish there was more but overall satisfied. 8/10
Yeah this was pretty bad, the subtitles were horrible, I had to guess what they were saying half the time, I was so confused on what was going on I was genuinely so lost. The chemistry and interactions felt forced and overall a very low quality series. I think those 2 could be in a decent BL if the whole story was different, and honestly if Jo Tae Sop got more practice in delivering lines and presenting a character better.
