No one bothering to report, it seems, as this has been up for 2 days.
I can understand the Admins or Mods taking their time about comments slandering actors/actresses as those are against one person who will probably never read the comments. I'm not saying they don't harm MDL as a whole though. SPAM comments affect everyone. The potential harm is upped the longer they remain and the comments are not deleted. Users read the comments that remain under the articles and are thus seen as being legitimized by MDL.
Taking the time to peck out "I CANNOT WITH THESE ZIONIST DRAMAS ANYMORE.....WHY THE HELL DO THEY ALWAYS SUPPORT A GENOCIDE" isn't impulsive. It's deliberate, as I did when I deliberately pecked out a reponse to you. Too, we all get notifications when someone replies to our comments. OP received the notifications and left the comment up which implies her comment wasn't impulsive, but deliberate.

Yes and No. Yes, as it brings attention to whoeverthehell that carries a title of Admin or MOD. But after a recent 'rules change' which is nowhere to be found on MDL, they've limited reports to 3 a day by any single account. Which is ludicrous considering scrolling the articles one can easily see these comments under multiple articles. No, as it limits Users to 3 reports a day. The comments have remained under the articles until someone understands how harmful SPAM comments can be....uo to 6 days from the time they commented. I'm on MDL daily and the articles are the frist thing I read. I report (up to 3) the comments bc they are new. Then subsequent days, I check whether those earlier SPAM comments have been deleted. It has taken up to the 6th day for Users to see [deleted] under the articles.
Since Admins and Mods give no answers concerning their policy on reports or if they have someone dedicated to deleting the comments/bot accounts, we the Users are practically left in limbo.
I think they've stopped sifting through Reports. Sure, the option is still there for the Users but it's for show. I read the Thread daily and whenever someone gets around to reading the Thread who has the authority to delete, it has taken a day or better. BUT there are very few submissions on the Thread. A couple of the Users were admonished for not knowing HOW to report them on the Thread, all the while not being provided with the correct way to report them.
Some Users have been outspoken about the powers that be on MDL allowing a cesspool of comments AND Spam to proliferate. I didn't join MDL until 2022 after 'using; MDL for a couple of years before that, and in all those years the site has changed considerably. Reading comments under drama profiles from 3 or 4 years ago one can see quite a dif in the content of the comments.
Why do I care? Lingering hopes that MDL will be around for a long long long time without it being deemed a pariah of Hate and Spam, or shutting down completely due to the aforementioned. Their policy states they can at any time WITHOUT NOTICE. Hence, it's why I take screenshots daily of all my Lists to save. I apologize for the long reply. This subject irks me greatly. Placing it under a Spoiler for the length.
