Have you not googled the term? Black comedy/dark comedy describes the form of humor and it's to amuse by showing something shocking or unexpected. "Paradise" is a black comedy. The word black has been overtaken & attributed to a race in the last few years and people forget the term BLACK has been around for ages to any number of areas such as Black Friday (being in the black is considered a great thing per business).
So "a mention of 'a' Black comedy" is a little childish, don't ya think?!
While updating my MDL viewing & lists, I started adding the Taiwanese dramas I've seen. Now, I see one of my fav actors passed in Sept 2021. Lord have mercy, the last few years have been taking a toll on all of us. I hope Mr. Lung's family, friends, and co-workers/actors find peace in having known such a blessed talent and comfort in the memories they shared with him.
Thank you for the lists. I've started rating the dramas he is in much lower (the ones I DID watch in the past before I knew his background), and adding each newer ones to my Not Interested list. The only way to get this vile human off our screens is to either boycott the dramas he's in or to slowly revolt by giving them a low rating. Like a migraine headache, the dramas I don't see bc he has a role in them aren't going to be missed. It's become automatic for me to add any new dramas or movies to NI list without thinking twice about it.
How is it this man who was convicted is still working whereas the younger actors who have been culture cancelled are STILL paying for their mistakes??? Don't people know that statisically the men/women who perpetrate sexual crimes aren't rehabilitated. It is the ONE area that has an extremely high rate of recidivism. IF caught they learn how to hide their activities much better.
Not a fan of hers, but I was impressed with her performance in "That Winter, The Wind Blows" and "Full House".
"Full House" relatively newest actor and wasn't relying on her "fame" to get her thru the drama.
"That Winter, The Wind Blows" playing blind person didn't allow for too much range in anything including emotion according the actor. Seriously, this was her "mode" for all subsequent dramas.
"Full House" was the ONLY drama where she might have impressed me.
It's incredibly insulting to all GREAT actors to call her a great actor. Gaslighting netizens creats a hole most cannot climb out of to voice an honest opinion.
How do you like it so far?Just fyi if you read my review articles or any writer's article on a particular drama.…
I haven't started it. I've spent a good bit of the day catching up on MDL and was just about to log out, then saw you had replied. Leaving now to start it. Thank you for the additional info on your review strategy.
I started watching b/c of your review. Now to check all your other's. I have many dramas On Hold not knowing if I should watch them or not. Great reviews can change minds!!! Thank you for the extensive write up.
