oh no, I wasn't trying to insult you with the boasting comment lol 😅 none of this is personal, we just have a difference in values when watching things, that's all, nothing for us to agree nor disagree about because the truth is it's just different for us.

I get easily engaged in pretty much everything I watch honestly which probably makes it harder for me to understand when people say they aren't engaged. like, I genuinely cannot watch something and be not engaged, otherwise I'm just not watching it 😂

my list is also super long, but I'm gonna work my way through them whether I like them or not, just how I kinda do things lol

again, sorry if I came across offensive, it really wasn't my intent, just trying to understand why people are so quick to judge and hate series (not you but others) when they've barely given it a try, I've noticed it with a lot of gmmtv series where it will be one episode in and people are raving about how awful it is

idk if I'm just quite easy to please or what, but I genuinely think this plot is interesting from an entertainment standpoint; entertaining doesn't mean original, it isn't the first time gmmtv has done "relationship formed from benefit" and it won't be the last, but as a stand alone series, it's genuinely fun and entertaining. I love the plot so far (being up to date) and they do have 4 couples to keep track of, not to mention (from my experience) there is always more drama that isn't the main plot but rather smaller sub plots throughout a lot of series.

I'm also the type of person to watch a series for the eventual outcome rather than to boast about it from the very start, especially in romance where I know it can take a bit of time for the story to properly get started. It just feels odd to me when people judge an entire plot when they've only seen 1/4 of it; judge the existing episodes, yes, but the entire plot? They don't even know what the eventual storyline will be lol

that's fine, but romance and comedy don't have to be isolated from each other, though I do think sometimes gmmtv struggles to make the two blend well together. I agree that sometimes the toilet humour (pun intended) can be a bit much, but they really could do worse lol 😂 I don't necessarily find it funny, but it also won't ruin a drama for me. if offgun were to do dramas without sound effects, they'd probably have to leave gmmtv honestly, gmmtv isn't likely to be changing their formula anytime soon, especially if they seem to be doing well domestically because of it. sometimes it's nice being able to watch something and knowing exactly what you are getting into.

definitely agree that I would love to see gun and off doing more mature series where they aren't acting as uni students, pretty sure I heard something about gun saying he wanted to do cooking crush specifically but that may just be a rumour. I feel like veteran couples can still do cute and funny series like Tay and new did, but especially for offgun they kinda have a reputation for this kind of genre (ignoring not me as the outlier)

if you don't like Thai comedy then don't watch it. GMMTV especially has always had that type of comedy, it's nothing new.

I understand you might not like it, however there are plenty of other series to watch that may be more suiting of your type of humour. silly sound effects are literally in every single BL, every single gmmtv series and most Asian series in general honestly (look to Korea and Thailand specifically)

honestly, all the complaints I see are the same. "I'm tired of uni dramas". "it's boring". "there's nothing going on".

the basics of it? if someone doesn't like uni dramas they don't have to watch it lol. if someone doesn't like slow burn love stories that aren't filled to the brim with violence and constant drama, they don't need to watch it. these people are too tough on gmmtv series now, they don't know how to have fun with BL series anymore

only on episode three, and I'm actually quite fond of it in general, so glad to see Joong and I love the type of character he plays. I only have one qualm so far... GIVE ZO HIS GODDAMN GLASSES BACK 😭😭 I hate the "MC gets a glow up and loses their glasses in the process" trope SO MUCH 😭😭😭GMMTV really love the trope of forming relationships through convenience lol. this series, cooking crush, why are, 2gether, all have a theme of meeting and getting close for one character's advantage/needs. not complaining, it's honestly something I like a lot lol

obviously not every offgun series has to be loved, and I know cooking crush definitely wouldn't have been for everyone, however I really just don't understand how everyone there wasn't complaining about the actual series but rather the fact that it didn't meet the standards of Not Me. 😭 I just don't want people to bash a series before they've even given a chance, nor just because of a different series

I'm allowed to be "not a mew fan" without hating him. it's called "being neutral". I don't love him, I don't hate him, he merely exists and I can live without him. just because you love him doesn't mean everyone else has to as well. also, yes, surprisingly I CAN enjoy series regardless of the actor in it, and I have hated series with some of my favourite actors in. I'm not as basic or pathetic as that quite frankly, however the STORY AND PLOT of this series was my main concern

I started this months ago and am still only 4 episodes in, I really don't want this to turn into a student/teacher relationship, and I feel like the plot would be great if I didn't feel that was the route it was going 😭 started watching because of lee dohyun and I want to finish it because of him, but it's so damn hard since it's a trope I genuinely hate

the fact you put this down so much all because "not me was better" is insane. this series is fine, the acting is fine, everything is fine. lower your expectations otherwise you'll ruin every series for yourself.

let's enjoy this series for what it is and not compare it to other works by offgun, otherwise you miss all the fun bits.
